Yesterday Trump called Politico dishonest. Today he is spreading their Ben Carson lie.

RedState's own Leon Wolf did a great job exposing the Politico story about Ben Carson and West Point as a lie. Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel is also churning out great information on Twitter regarding the story.

I want to focus on what Donald Trump is doing with the story, however.

Yesterday, November 5, Donald Trump had this to say about Politico:

Look, Politico is so dishonest in so many different things. This Politico website or whatever the hell they call it, I mean, they write about me. We don't deal with them anymore because the level of dishonesty is incredible.

Today, November 6, Donald Trump is spreading the false Politico story about Ben Carson. Below is one of the several Trump Tweets citing the Politico piece.

What an incredible turnaround. It appears Trump is willing to do whatever it takes to destroy Carson, who is poised to disrupt his position as GOP frontrunner.

Yesterday, Trump seized on the silly CNN investigation of Carson's childhood. According to Trump, Carson's childhood might be a "total fabrication.?

Ironically, much of Trump's support is due to the perception that he tells the truth and shuns the mainstream media. It is now clear that he will abandon that notion when it suits him politically.

Well, if you've gotta be such a purist and stickler for words, then I feel duty-bound to inform you that there is no such military institution that is known simply as West Point....

Brilliant smackdown!

Are you saying the ROTC offered a guarantee scholarship to Carson?

Lovitz: "You're through, I tell you! You're done! It's over! No more!"

Hartman: "What's the word on the street?"

Took a bit of time and went through my viewing history at Netflix...I found one of the shows that relate to the Egyptian timeline and what I was talking about with the Bible.

IIRC it does not get into the grain thing, but you might find it interesting..

Carson never, at any time, said he applied to WP...

In fact he said exactly the opposite...That he had no desire to go.

Why would anyone want to see a form Carson never filled out?

Can't you read?

The form is not meant to be filled out by the candidate. Rather, it's a recommendation by the candidate's PMS (Professor of Military Science) or SAI (Senior Army Instructor).

>> Since Westmoreland is dead, we only have Carson’s word don’t we? <<

Sure, unless other witnesses come forth.

Basically, however, I think you’re really “beating a dead horse” because even if General Westmoreland were still alive, and even if we could have questioned him during the 1980’s or 1990’s, I think there’s exactly a zero chance that he could recall a brief encounter with a Detroit high-school student that had occurred back in 1969.

On the other hand, put yourself in the shoes of that outstanding high school ROTC cadet for a moment. Don’t you think you’d long remember very clearly and vividly your meeting with the Army Chief of Staff, General Westmoreland — just as if that meeting had occurred only yesterday? I know I would.

Same as him describing himself, and his recollected bizarre behavior as child, as “pathological”. A medical doctor should certainly know better than to call it pathological, unless today he is still like that under that calm exterior. IMHO Trump is pointing out there are lots of problems with what Carson says, and what he “means” or “meant”, what happened, didn’t happen. Can you imagine this guy running against Hillary? Trump may sometimes be indelicate, but he is truthful, and he is consistent. I’m done with nice, I’m done with “esteemed colleagues” and all that nonsense. Carson may be guileless in what happened with the ROTC and West Point, but if he can’t effectively communicate over the din of the media, he ain’t our guy. The media is not going away, and they will only get more ruthless as the election approaches.

No he doesn’t oppose the border wall Look at his rapid fire interview with Glenn Beck. He states what kind of fence would work and gave an example of where it is working.
No you haven’t listened to him, he is not for amnesty. They get goodies now because the administration looks the other way, he will ensure that the job is done. He has extensive administrative and leadership experience. If you don’t understand this about him you haven’t done your homework!

No he doesn’t oppose the border wall

During the debate Carson mocked the idea of deportation and building a border wall, saying it would be "too expensive," because all of a sudden he knows the costs. He did it again in subsequent interviews:

"And it doesn’t have to be a fence or wall,' Carson added. “That’s stupid. We have all kinds of electronic surveillance devices, drones, not to mention people. So we can do it. And then turn off the spigot that dispenses all the things that they are coming here to get. Then there won’t be any reason for them to do it."

If Carson suddenly flipped on the border wall to Glenn Beck, I'll chalk it up to deceptive pandering he probably doesn't even believe. Plus Glenn Beck is a retard anyway and isn't smart enough to challenge him.

he is not for amnesty

Yes he is:

http://joemiller.us/2015/06/ben-carson-now-backs-amnesty-for-illegals/

hey get goodies now because the administration looks the other way,

Every administration looks away. As do state governments. Carson's will be no different.

he will ensure that the job is done.

Carson is a raving loon. He can't even remember to remove sponges from people's brains he is operating on, much less run anything. He thinks Glyconutrients can cure your cancer and that the Patriach Joseph built the pyramids to store grain. And worst of all, he's flopped on TPP and now supports it. He is an imbecile.
