Ben Carson now leading in NC, Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin
The American Thinker ^ | October 6, 2015 | Ed Straker

.........[Ben Carson] is leading in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, and Iowa. That's impressive. It's well-known that he's doing well with religious conservatives in Iowa, but now it looks as though he has appeal throughout the South and other Midwestern states.

[SNIP]

What can Trump do to rebound? He has tried casting doubt on Carson's religion. He has tried having plenty of book signings. In an interview recently he said he was going to replace Obamacare with "something much better." Who wouldn't want to vote for someone who is going to institute a "something much better" health care system? He also promises to "quickly and brutally cut the head off of ISIS." I'm for cutting the head off ISIS. Let the head-cutting begin!

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be enough for voters. His tax plan has higher rates than other tax plans, like Ted Cruz's flat tax.

I'm not a big Ben Carson fan. I don't think he has the experience to be an executive or the temperament to take on Hillary. Trump might be able to at least do the latter. So what can Trump do to improve his position in the polls?

1) Talk about the insanity of "transgenderism" - letting boys into girls' locker rooms.

2) Give more detail on his vague immigration plan of letting the "good ones" come back after they are deported. How many "good ones" are there? Millions?

3) Speak out about the need for voter ID to protect the integrity of the voting process.

4) Pledge to end birthright citizenship by executive order on the first day of his presidency.

5) Tell us what he would replace Obamacare with. I suspect he himself does not know.

What else do you think he can do to help himself?

No, I don’t know what “force of nature” means in relation to Donald Trump. If you do, explain it.

I have no candidate.

Well, how convenient for you. You don’t have to worry about defending your choice and you can go all-out — with no distractions — in your Anti-Trump Jihad.

Cincinatus’ Wife makes her comeback on threads pimping Ben Carson, another loser, just like Walker was.

Not pimping any candidate flaglady47, just pointing out the landmines and the peril of buying into the hype (inc polling).

Google “Ben Carson -polls” to get stories about Carson that don’t include his poll results. These are the coverage of Carson, himself rather than the coverage of his poll results. I’ll save you some suspense but feel free to check it yourself: The results are close to universally negative, mocking coverage with almost no mainstream coverage at all which you’d THINK would be necessary to improve in the polls.

Details!? We don't need no stinkin' details.

This is a big fat reality TV show - munch some popcorn, put up your feet, just relax and enjoy, Donald has it covered.

It's the art of the deal, don'tcha know.

Yep - magical polls boosting Carson all over the place even as he starts to offer questions about his mental stability.

Carson gives me the heebie jeebies.

With Walker gone, we really only have Cruz and Trump to hope for.

Then you’d have to THINK the same about Trump’s numbers.

The sad part is that this amount of coverage will significantly improve his coverage percentage. He simply does not have the coverage needed to believe his poll numbers.

“No, I don’t know what “force of nature” means in relation to Donald Trump. If you do, explain it.”

Force of Nature means Trump will beat the pants off of any other candidate you ever back. Period.

I have not met one person who is going to vote for him, they all laugh when ask them why, so someone somewhere is playing with the numbers.

Me, too. I don't know anyone who'd put this guy in a cage match with Putin. Putin would eat his liver at the negotiating table.

Carson: "But you can't have Poland..."

Putin: "Da tovarisch, it will all be over soon."

Oh, wait, that's obama today, isn't it?

Trump is on the news absolutely all day, every day since he became a serious candidate. He has polarizing positions which are covered regularly by large swaths of media.

Carson has...news stories about his poll numbers. And mocking coverage of his religious stances by leftists websites like Salon and Huffpo.

I’m not saying you should support Trump (or anyone else for that matter) but I am asking you to question yourself: Where is Carson’s positive coverage that results in these poll numbers???

You are being fooled.

Force of Nature means Trump will beat the pants off of any other candidate you ever back. Period.

So your criteria for choosing Trump, is your belief that he is a "winner." Period.

And she’s back! I also heard Scott Walker was going to be moderating the Fox debate. Trump is still in the #1 slot on the stage in case you were wondering...I think I’m going to stay up late tonight and look for old polls too...you’ve inspired me...

“He isn’t running for Pastor.”

So you don’t think this very basic and central tenet of Christianity — seeking God’s guidance and forgiveness — is relevant? Interesting.
