Our FRiend Rodamala's cat, The Purr Monster, is in the Animal Hospital probably til this weekend, with urinary blockage. Poor Purr Monster is also in a great deal of pain.
Please, keep The Purr Monster In your thoughts, maybe if enough people think of him he can come home early and feel better.,
There was a thread and a kitty ping about that kitten. I’m so glad he has a home now. Sweet little thing.
My first kitty had urinary problems too. I ended up with a very good vet who told me to use Hills for urinary problems. It worked, she had a very long life, for a cat.
Prayers for a quick recovery!
I’ve had 2 furkids with struvite crystals- it is quite painful, especially since they don’t complain until it is really bad.
The up side is that a complete recovery is common, and with diet modifications, it won’t happen again.
God will often grant little miracles for creatures if you pray with compassion and faith. If you pray out loud, they seem to sense you are more than just talking to them and sometimes react favorably within a short time.
I’ve had 2 cats with urinary crystals and they didn’t show signs of pain until almost completely obstructed. Cats seem programmed to be stoic - you can’t show weakness in the wild.
I know it’s expensive, but a vet can quickly check by getting a urine sample. You might have to leave kitty there some time though - my girl was stubborn and held it for hours and hours!
Any change in litter box habits can indicate a problem - some times they think the box is the problem and try to go else where. My male flung litter all over, I guess he thought it was the litter’s fault.
Prayers sent.
Prayers for him. My cat also has had this problem in the past, hospitalized twice. He is on Hills/C/D dry food (from the vet), distilled water (which he does drink quite a bit of) and 1/3 of a can of his beloved Friskies pate (he would not eat the prescription wet food) nightly. It has been about 5 years since the last episode and he is enjoying his 15th year. I pray that yours does the same.
Thank you
Thank you.
I’m worried for Rod. He’s a good FRiend, and cat guy.
Heck Yeah!
Lord please watch over this kitty that it can and will continue to love and be loved for a long time.
Prayers sent for The Purr Master hoping for a speedy recovery for the lil guy, God bless all of our furry friends!
Purr Monster darn auto correct
I once had a male cat who developed the same problem. Rodamala, hugs and prayers...your little fella will be just fine.
All my prayers for kitty. God bless.
Kitty prayers up. Hope the little fella is feeling better soon.
Prayers up for The Purr Monster! Hope the hospital stay is short!
I’ve heard about this kitty but I’ve gotten so old and sentimental that I can’t watch these things without getting my keyboard sopping wet!
“For her, it had to do with the potash in many foods and lack of drinking fluids (common for cats).”
Feeding a cat only dry food is an invitation for urinary tract infections, IMO. Had the same problem with a cat and switched to only wet food and a minimal feeding of raw chicken livers daily, and the problem went away. But urinary tract infection has gotta be remedied early or the cat can die.
Praying for the little guy!
