I haven't done a quick vanity screed in ages, not as a singluar post, but something set me off today.
Donald Trump claims now that he will close some mosques in the United States if they are ISIL related.
"Varney asked Trump if he agreed with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent proposal to close mosques if a worshiper is linked to ISIS. Trump responded unequivocally, “Absolutely, I think it’s great.” Varney, apparently taken aback by Trump’s flippant response to depriving Americans of their constitutional rights, followed up incredulously, “Can you close a mosque?” Adding, “We do have religious freedom.” Trump then gave us this gem: “It depends. If the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear.” “Loaded for bear”?! I read a lot. One article was about the iq of candidates. Trump’s was in the top 1 percent in the country. He is by no means a moron. He did not get where he is by being dumb. GO TRUMP.
I dont indulge in name calling. Very immature, almost junior high schoolish. However to respond to your irrational comment... You dont know a thing about me. I constantly post what could be called by some “islamophobic” articles warning people of the dangers of the coming caliphate. But, i stand by ny criticism of Gellers showboating Mulim baiting which could have resulted in multiple fatalities. Instead of sitting there in your pajamas posting kneejerk reactins... Why dont you spend ten years in central africa like i did, making many moslem converts by the way. If my speech seems a little rough for a preachr, remember i am also an ‘old Marine”

Site my personal observations of his mannerisms and general demeanor. Many thought B Clinton the cat’s meow - I thought he was a liar. Many thought Obama had a path top a good future - I thought he was vile.

Just read Trump’s remarks/response to what Pamela Geller said and has been postulating. She is apart from Trump based on Trump’s remarks.

I had the same thoughts as you did about Clinton and Obama. It was based on what they said and stood for, not their mannerisms and general demeanor.
Trump has been consistent with what he stands for for decades. He of course has changed some, such as abortion. And the reason he gives for changing on abortion is the exact same reason a friend confided to me many years ago.

The good Lord finally took my suffering 99 year old mom yesterday. Think since June of this year 5 ER then follow up ICU visits to hospitals with the rest of the time at nursing homes.

From what you wrote it sounds like Trump sees some limitations to the first amendment and he’s willing to apply them to mosques that advocate and/or incite violence.
His criticism of Geller for ‘taunting’ indicates a willingness to consider the application of those limitations in more than one direction.
I’m willing to bet Trump doesn’t take kindly to burning the American flag either, but I’m not sure that makes him ‘unfit’ to lead the nation.
When Presidential candidates say stupid things like, “yeah, I would consider closing a mosque” in the vein of an old clown at the end of the bar on a Saturday at 1pm, that is when you might was to consider if this is the guy you want running stuff in our country.
The good news is that he is smart enough to have good people around who might just tell him that is a stupid idea.
Trump inherited his fortune and if he had stuck it in bank CDs he’d be worth ten times what he is now. The only thing he’s done successfully is be a reality TV star. He’s a moron.

My humble opinion here. It is that against the incredible deviousness of these adversaries, a united front is the best form of attack. They have mastered the art of dividing one against the other.
