14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who made headlines last week after he was arrested for bringing a homemade clock into school, has already received praise from a number of familiar names such as Barack Obama and Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg. Now, to Mohameds further delight, tech giants Microsoft have pledged their allegiance to the whizz-kid in generous fashion.
The multinational technology firm expressed their support for Ahmed, not through kind words, but by sending the young engineer a huge hamper of tech goodies, including a Cube 3D printer.

That's not what he did. He didn't build a clock from spare electronic components or even put one together using an off-the shelf kit: he literally cracked open the plastic case of a commercially produced off-the-shelf alarm clock and threw the electronic components into a pencil case. Nothing was improved or even modified.
My teenage sons belong to a robotics team that could use funding.
Well, now they’ll know how to get Microsoft’s attention.
Bump.
Give that lad a scholarship! /s
Ahmed will pull the guts of the printer, dump it in a suit case and tell the world he invented a printer.
The Nobel Peace prize is next.
1) Lie
2) Profit!
This kid is a pathetic disgrace to all of that were real teen geeks.
My first thought too. Soooo many ways.
He’s a genius!!!

Young engineer? Give me a break...the kid did nothing but pass off somebody else’s work as his own. Typical Muslim student today...not creative at all.
Oh my .. where to start ..????
What absolute bullsh1t.
Rewardi a deliberate hoaxer attentio whore.
They ought to call it the tawana brawley award.
Maybe Ahmed can be the first person to 3D print plastic explosives.
When you put it that way, of course Microsoft likes the kid!
Now, where's his bag of goodies from Apple?
Boycott Microsoft and send an email to customer service - I did
After Alia Salem, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, tweeted a photo of a Ahmed with his gifts on Saturday, Microsoft replied via Twitter: Enjoy we cant wait to see what you create with it all!Famous last words?
He didn’t even do that though. All he did was remove the “guts” from the 70’s era clock and put them in a suitcase container. What do you call plagiarism when making faux homemade clocks with the appearance of a suitcase bomb? Copyright infringement?
Correct-a-mundo. The little creep admits to taking to his engineering teacher first who told him not to show the thing around school. Yet he continued to bring around to class rather than leave it in his locker.
DOH! I mean, is the Left’s vehement appeasement of Islam because they feel it’s a hedge against CHRISTIANITY?
