Past associate, sure. I would have been what is known as a “hanger on”, though I never participated in any of their criminal activities. I’ve long since disassociated myselves with them.
Yea. There seem to be a lot of “special circumstances” where the Police are concerned. I was just pointing out that there are some people here that post in absolutes. And you were absolutely wrong.
And apparently you think that burning, how many?, alive is O.K. too. Not discounting the conspiracy theory that the Davidians burned themselves alive.

Boo friggin hoo. Yes, the law treats shooting a police dog differently, because he is an agent of the law in performance of his duties, even if he is not human.

Wrong! I never said anything of the sort, and in fact, if you bother to go back and check my response that first referred to the Davidians, I specifically said I was only taking exception with the false claim that the Davidians shot first.
I’ll take that as an admission that you made claims against other FReepers without having any actual knowledge to back it up then.
I am new to these kinds of threads, I’ve only seen them pop up from time to time and made only a casual mental note of them. This one I decided to read a bit more carefully to try to catch myself up on this case. So anyone who wishes to bring me up to speed please note my admitted, innocent ignorance of the facts here and also note while I’m new to this discussion I’m not an FR Noob.
With that out of the way, I have just two questions (for now) after reading what TexasGator posted:
1. If these two biker gangs (or clubs or whatever they are) hated each other so much, why did they assemble next to each other at this location in such mass?
This is one question I’ve had since the beginning. What were the mechanics, so to speak, of this assembly? Did one or two of one gang show up, and then two of the other, and then five of the one, and then 10 of the other? Or did they both come “en masse”, so to speak, all at once?
And either way, again, why would two rival gangs (or clubs) group together like that in such large numbers from each? If they so hated each other? That just doesn’t seem right to me.
2. This is the main question if like answered, because it’s really not clear to me: Am I right to say that over 150 American Citizens are sitting in jail right now, without having been charged with a crime? Because if so, I don’t care if they are gay, Muslime, kiddy touching Democrats, no American Citizen should sit in a jail cell without any charges for over, what is it 3 months now?
If they have been charged, then ok (I guess) but I’d still ask when is their expected trial date (or have they waived the right to a speedy trial?)
To me, for now, these seem like the only pertinent questions.

MONEY BAIL
The observation/teaching/phrase that "love of money is the root of all evil" COMES FROM THE BIBLE. Period. It is the sole and original source of that sentiment if you're referring to that saying's use anywhere in Western Civilization, for the past 2,000 years.
The bibles doesn't "contain a similar quote." IT IS THE SOURCE OF THE TEACHING AND WARNING that "Love of money is the root of all evil."
Anyone who quotes it or mis-quotes it (leaving out the "love of" and attributing qualities of evil to an object as opposed to behavior) is DRAWING FROM THIS BIBLICAL QUOTE.
