The GOP Consulting Class Is Becoming Seriously Unhinged….

by sundance

Beyond the previous examples of DC’s chattering class punditry: George Will, Charles Krauthammer, Stephen Hayes, Dana Perino, Charles Lane, Bill Kristol et al, and their on-air splodey head moments -which are continuing with the speed of an interstate covered in bubble wrap- we now have the paid GOP consultant class joining them.

GOP political consultant Rick Wilson has been in a highly visible war of words with Breitbart.com over the website’s editorial support for GOP candidate Donald Trump.

Wilson said on CNN that approximately 25% of Republicans were “low information voters”, a disparaging statement in line with the recent proclamations of FOX’s George Will. Breitbart.Com along with a few other conservative sites, wrote a response suggesting that antagonizing such voters is not how the GOP would win elections.

However, Wilson’s protestations reached exponential levels of pearl-clutching anxiety when he began making the insufferable ridiculous claim that Trump supporters were sending rape threats towards his daughter.

The absurdity of the GOPe professional consulting class was/is laughable – because it reflects the apoplectic reaction from the advance of the “Vulgarians”.

Ann Coulter joined in by directing her Twitter followers to the article on the Breitbart site which showcased the absurd reaction from the chattering class.

And then this happened:

rick Wilson( Via Instapundit ) […] GOP establishment is trying so hard to discredit Trump that they don’t seem to realize that they are angering a large portion of their own constituency, which is hungering for leadership and a willingness to openly defy P.C. norms. To paraphrase Hamlet, me thinks they dost protest too much, and it is beginning to backfire on them and cause them to take openly hypocritical positions.

Indeed, they are now taking the position that deporting illegal immigrants is wrong. Oh, how the establishment loves to talk tough on immigration when it suits its purposes of ginning up conservatives on election day. But when a candidate comes along who actually wants to do something about the issue–and isn’t afraid to defy political correctness to do so–the GOP establishment suddenly cries foul, and brands him a fool, dictator, or police state zealot. The necessary implication is that the GOP establishment is all hat, no cattle on immigration.

No wonder increasing numbers of those who self-identify as Republican now openly abhor the party, and it totters on the brink of implosion. (link)

These idiots just know “how to lose, by backing GOPe milquetoasts.

Well to be fair...some of them do actually know how to win elections. They go out and focus group test every hot button topic, thought and word. Tell their candidates exactly what to say (usually full throated support for conservative ideas in conservative areas) and then advise their candidates to forget every damn thing they said in the campaign and work with rats to destroy America.

And the American people have caught on, have had enough and are going to hand these clowns their asses!

‘...the GOP establishment is all hat, no cattle on immigration.’

I say the same thing about the GOP and their position on abortion

The jig is up,

I will be interested in seeing if Megyn Kelly loses ratings upon her return. Frankly, I haven’t even watched her vacay replacement.

Because I Remember Mississippi, I put Magwine Kelly in my File 13, permanently, right along with Haley Barbour and Mitch McConnell. Same dirty tricks tactics deserve one another.

You know what? Good catch there. That was the obvious analysis right there in front of our face.

I support Cruz. (And Carson.)
Am very greedy regarding Cruz. I don’t want him for 4 or 8 or 16 years as VP and P. I want him for life as a supreme court justice. We need to have his influence on the third (equal) branch of government for his entire life. Think of the influence he would have!
As much as I love Dr Ben since he really has not been a CEO or manager I prefer to see him lead the revision of health care or human welfare. He has some wonderful ideas. He has a wonderful mind and caring heart just cannot see him sitting in the chairman of the boards seat

The irony of this is that the Bush voters are actually the “low information” voters.
They hear the name and think they are good people and we should trust them. After all....loyalty....blah blah blah
When they start paying attention, they will turn on Bush and the GOPe. It’s coming....

Heh
Good article. We conservatives are heading to a political position that could call the shots in the years ahead—led by Donald Trump, of all people—and guys like Wilson, Fred Barnes, Bernie Goldberg and Bob Beckle are beside themselves.

I agree Wilson should be fired or his contract terminated.

We begin to see the horrid underbelly of these cretins. That’s a good sign as it means they are rolling over like asphyxiated cockroaches.

Right!
I think it's likely that Megyn won't lose ratings. Not much competition.
I've enjoyed her show, since she's been on vacation, but I doubt I will upon her return.

[[As much as I love Dr Ben since he really has not been a CEO or manager I prefer to see him lead the revision of health care or human welfare. He has some wonderful ideas. He has a wonderful mind and caring heart just cannot see him sitting in the chairman of the boards seat]]

He was literally a “brain surgeon” and not only a brain surgeon but an innovator who developed surgical techniques.
He lead a team of 70 surgeons and technicians in a groundbreaking separation of conjoined twins.
Our current president was a community organizer and one-term Senator. He was a lazy senator at that who was frequently absent for votes.
How long do you think it would take for Dr. Carson to get up to speed as, say, Vice President?

Cruz is a valuable intellect and would be a wonderful supreme court member if he could get through our corrupt legislature. You’re right. That’s where he really belongs. He would be a strict constitutionalist. There would be no shenanigans from him.

When someone angers me the first retort that comes to my mind is not what this psycho wrote.

I agree with other FReepers that this guy is a homo. Who says this stuff besides perverts?

Just remember every time you see a RINO speak, pigs like this are advising them.

who self-identify as Republican now openly abhor the party,

I spent time with my 80 year old father this summer. We were talking politics one night, and it should be noted he has become much more of a low information voter since my mom died about 8 years ago. We were talking about how Congress isn't doing anything they were elected to do, when he volunteered that he thinks the Republican party is dead. I was surprised, but happy to know their support is that weak.

Rick Wilson is a scum sucking pig.

If he had said this about my wife or daughter I would beat him like a circus monkey.

What a piece of dog crap.

And I’m a Cruz supporter. In case you or any of your minions are lurking around here, Rick.

My family has been Republican since the Civil War. My great-great grandfather left the South and joined the Illinois 48th Infantry at the beginning of the war.
He was in for the entire course of the war, went to Atlanta with Sherman, and finally mustered out in Little Rock at the end of the war.
I have had a deep loyalty based on this family tradition.
However, now I have no loyalty to the party, the legislators, the pundits, the so-called media who claim to represent Republicans. None. I feel utter contempt and actual revulsion.
They need to care how lifelong
Republicans like me feel.
My brother, sister and cousins feel exactly the same way.
