Why Megyn Kelly was the big loser in the Trump debate
Coach is Right ^ | 8/13/15 | Suzanne Eovaldi

Posted on 08/13/2015 10:02:46 AM PDT by Oldpuppymax

Megyn Kelly lost her debate with Donald Trump because she breached one immutable rule of journalism, falling for one of the oldest tricks in the book that men use to win. That is, Kelly, as a “journalist,” allowed herself to become the story. In fact she now is a huge part of the drama. J-skul students are warned about this big time No-No by wily and savvy professors who preach over and over, be objective, stay out of it, be impartial, don’t get involved!

In addition, Kelly let the men use her, something any woman who has ever been around any union negotiations recognizes early on. A Chicago area, female unionist told me one time after a very contentious three month teachers’ strike that the men disappeared for the marching, the protests in the parking lots and the face to face confrontations. When the street theatre ended and the drama played itself out, the men on both sides, the administrators and the union leaders (all men by the way) came in, sat down, carved up the pie, passed around their goodies, got up, shook hands, and left the room.

Look, Kelly was chosen by FOX corporate to do their hit job on Donald Trump because they and the Rino establishment want Jeb Clinton in the Oval Office, IMHO. Donald Trump’s experience, intelligence, wealth, his manly strength, decisiveness, discernment and understanding of the political power structure in this country are enormous existential threats to those who need Hillary Bush or Jeb Clinton elected! And Hillary’s E-mail scandals have resonated with the public as Benghazi and the IRS flap never did.

So here’s what went on. Kelly was placed stage center in front of and in direct eye contact with the one man in the room these machinists fear...

Right, like that other news guy who was expanding his experiences getting himself kicked off of NBC.

This will help Bloody Leg pad her resume and get that job over at CNN when her contract expires next year.

Reminds me of Idiocracy's depiction of Fox News.

A lot of times, “gotcha” moments turn into an exploding cigars. Had this been “off the cuff”, Kelly probably could have gotten away with. Unfortuntely, this was a scrpted ambush and the audience knew it.

They presented doctored facts to Trump and he responded. They also avoided Cruz for forty minutes.

Speaks for itself.

They also avoided Walker. Walker had the 2nd lowest face time, exceeded only by Rand Paul who was sick the night of the “debate”.

The panel barely addressed any questions to Walker, and those that they did were highly personal and of limited interest.

I personally don’t think that debates are the place for tawdry inquiries. Kelly has a big mic, she could have had him on her show and brought this up or brought it to the forefront using others to carry her water.

Wrong place when we’re trying to find out what these candidates would offer as President. IMHO

When I heard one of these 3 say, days before the debate, that they had some real “doozies” to ask the candidates, that this debate was not about helping the American people know who was vying for their vote. I knew it was about the “star” moderators. Shameful.

Just another example of our self-absorbed society.

Give her one year and she will be gone from Fox.

She may not go away altogether but she'll be marginalized like Geraldo after opening Al Capone's safe.

It was more 'Debate The Moderators' than a 'Republican Candidate Debate'.

I will be "Debate The Moderators II" next month over at CNN.

People...yes, people like you and me reacted irrationally just because she picked on one of “our guys” If she had picked on a liberal....she would be our hero. She was simply doing her job.

Because she expected Trump to wither in front of her blast of Truth To Power. It was, however, negated by his Trump’s blast of Scorn to Puerility.

1. Freeper RitaOK writes something that was noticed by Sundance:
sundance says:
August 4, 2015 at 11:23 pm
Saw this comment at FR and, IMHO regarding Murdoch’s little princess, it’s spot on:

…”Megyn is a trap in a dress, when it comes to dismantling the lions of the culture. She is very smart, knows it and the only real words that describe her are “self promoting”, and everyone knows it. Actually, I think she might like to change history, destroy a career, if it meant fame and a raise for herself”….

Highlight the “would be happy to make history by destroying a career” part.

2. Then Megyn has the gall to ask Ted Cruz is he likes Trump so much why doesn’t he get out and “let him run”.

3. Then day before the debate this:
“the question is whether this is – actually not to be too grandiose about it – because Fox News is hosting it, and I’m a co-moderator but is this actually, because they have the potential to change the course of history? I mean, one of these guys could be out by 11:00 tomorrow night”….

Megyn Kelly 8/5/15 (night before the debate)

RitaOK was dead on correct. And I am done with Kelly - will not watch.

No doubt she and Chrissy Wallace were sent out there by Ailes or Murdochs offspring. She was telegraphing days in advance what she had planned. So Megyn had the go ahead from somebody.

Now she’s in a 10 day timeout at the beach while Ailes tries to put his network back together again. :-)

Well, one more thing to say...
I read the article, which was mostly good, but that statement towards the end I have a little problem with, “winning at any and all costs.” Really? Is that the American way? That sounds more like the UniParty we hate (and rightly so) than the America I love.
