Gay marriage and abortion have little in common except for how each became federal law without ever being codified by Congress. The U.S. Supreme Court's Obergefell decision delivers social change the citizenry not only did not want but which it actively fought against.

Just a few years ago Justice Kennedy ruled the DOMA unconstitutional saying essentially that the federal government had no business defining marriage. Then he did an about face and said that the federal government MUST define marriage.

I’m somewhat amused (not) by all the fuss about Obergefell, while Lawrence vs. Texas is the real culprit. Too many people slept through the Culture War.

Kennedy is just a free-form jurist. He gives whatever reasoning he feels he must for the moment, to fit that specific case. When the next phase of the homo agenda comes along he just mutates his argument to fit the new case. He wants what he wants when he wants it and what the Constitution actually says is irrelevant. He knows he is in the position of power.

Leviticus 18:22 - "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

Biologically, homosexuals cannot reproduce, and are barren ("desolate").

We have just seen the Left redefine marriage to include sodomites - an institution known as "holy matrimony", a holy place in the Christian faith.

Matthew 24:15 - "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand...)"

Yup. Corrupt self-serving justices who somehow “find” parts of the Constitution to “justify” their Godlessness. We’ve legally been killing infants for 40+ years. The SCOTUS should’ve been dealt with back then. It’s just become more brazen and corrupt as we’ve gone on.

Absolutely true, and Scalia said at the time that it would eventually lead to gay marriage.

Howls of laughter from democrats and republicans.

Oh, the old man is crazy!

Why would he say such a ridiculous thing?

Liberals weren’t laughing at his prediction; they were *counting* on it.

The door was open, and they rolled up their sleeves and did the hard work of bringing the nation around to their way of thinking. And as much as we despair now, we have to give them credit for that. They didn’t give up or go home, they organized and they worked and they stayed on message. Should we do anything less in response?

The war has been lost but there are still battles to be won. Exemptions, carve-outs, we can still find victories if we’re willing.
