Begin with the end in mind Im not trying to convince anyone that Donald Trump is running a campaign to actually win the GOP nomination.
Factually, Im as uncertain and perhaps more skeptical as the next person. However, given that Trump has actually done things he normally wouldnt do if this was a mere publicity stunt (ie. stock divestitures, removal of conflicts etc.), for the sake of intellectual argument, Im going to assume, cautiously yet optimistically, hes in it to win it.
Argument #1 After all, hes been a democrat, an independent, a Republican, and well, I have consistently despised Charlie Crist.
Counter Argument Then again, what about Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, and Orin Hatch, and Lindsey Graham, and John McCain, and John Cornyn, and Thad Cochran and, well, you get the point . Whats the difference between supporting those consistently Republican Republicans only to have them advocate for liberal/progressive policies.
Are the aforementioned better because they didnt change party registration, yet act like Democrats?
Let me first explain something few fully comprehend and fewer still, are willing accept.
People like us rail against the establishment because, despite the GOP claims to the contrary, they never actually do anything to stop the liberal policy agenda. One only has to look at President Obamas veto record (four in 6.5 years) to accept that only legislation Obama agrees with is reaching his desk.
We gave the GOP the House (2010, 2012, 2014) and the Senate (2014) and yet we never have received a single benefit to the election victories We The People provided.
Why is that?

Okay. For starters, Palin for Energy, Levin Attorney General, Bolton Secretary of State. .
Lets use the word ,successfully, that leaves trump.
The article title: With Perfect Storm Bearing Down On America, Dogs Of Hell Are Unleashed On Donald Trump As Sleeping Giant Awakens After Talk Of 'Making American Great Again' Great article. Hey Uniparty take note!
Colonel Allen West for Secretary of Defense.
Thomas Sowell for Health Education and Welfare.
Cruz for the Supreme Court.
Excellent article. After much analysis, the brilliant authors of Conservative Treehouse conclude that the final two choices in 2016 will be Bush or Clinton. Very sad. Why? The Chamber of Commerce is the principal agent of the Republican party and the Chamber supports Obamacare, Common Core and Amnesty. Very, very sad.
The solution is for Trump to win Florida which is very troublesome: big, expensive and extreme (very poor and very wealthy).
I trust that the Blessed Mother can ask her Son for miracles and pray the rosary every day for Russia and now, America.
Colonel Allen West for Secretary of Defense.
Thomas Sowell for Health Education and Welfare.
Cruz for the Supreme Court.
Amen to that.
Thomas Sowell for Health Education and Welfare.
Cruz for the Supreme Court.
Sounds good to me. Ben Carson for Surgeon General.
“I have trepidations,
I have seen him bluster down this road before.”
So what, how many times in your life have you changed your mind.
In Trump’s case it’s dynamic not static like yours.
“The question is: Is The Donald willing to be POTUS for four years without tiring of the hassles of the job?”
How silly. Trump has spent years building a real estate and media empire, made over 6 billions dollars in doing so, and you are questioning his stick to it ability? Geez.
That article did explain a lot...
“I apologize; I assumed I was posting to a sentient being.”
LOL, that’s funny.
I can hardly wait. Go Trump!
“Six other guys at the club and they ALL love what Trump is saying. One is a Republican but the rest are VERY union oriented Democrats.”
Having seen Trump’s qualities from the gitgo, I very early on commented that Trump would be bringing the Reagan Democrats back in the fold, for which I was scoffed at by the usual bunch of wolf pack anti-Trump Freepers that seek out Trump threads to bray on. I am being proven right, and they continue to mindlessly bray to what is now about an audience of 2.
I'm hoping Cruz is the one, but if Trump can pull it off, . . we'll see.
Cruz meeting with Trump tomorrow in NYC. FR thread Here.
“Trump brings the right message but he is the wrong messenger.”
No he isn’t. He is the exactly correct messenger at the precise time in history that we need him. And only someone with his brash personality could have broken through the obscene clutter of what looks to be 17 plus Pub candidates. What a zoo.
I fell asleep during O’Reilly’s show, and while I was still snoozing, I think I heard Megyn Kelly say that Mr. Donald Trump will also be one of her guests tomorrow night too!!
I’ve already set TIVO!
“Okay. For starters, Palin for Energy, Levin Attorney General, Bolton Secretary of State.”
Oooh, nice start.
“I think I heard Megyn Kelly say that Mr. Donald Trump will also be one of her guests tomorrow night too!!”
Oh, I hope so. I love it. Trump has totally reinvigorated the Pub Party. And made politics almost fun again. Look how it has enlivened this website, and I suspect websites all over the Internet, even the enemy websites. Trump makes Dems collective heads spin, just like in The Exorcist. Makes me happy just thinking about their discomfort and unhappiness, because I think deep down inside Trump is the one Pub candidate they are most afraid of.
