Feminist Website: People Who Vote Republican do it to "Hurt People of Color"
The Social Memo ^ | 7/5/15 | Aurelius

If you vote Republican, there's a good chance you're doing it because you want to "hurt people of Color." That's one of the messages from Everyday Feminism's new article, "Here Are the Real Reasons Why We White People Struggle to Admit That Racism Still Exists."

The author, Jamie Utt, says that "we whites" need to realize the evil we're perpetrating.

One of the "reasons" why white people can't admit that racism still exists is that "White People Have an Emotional Stake in Denying White Supremacy," he explains.

"Because that way, we can avoid dealing with how we’re complicit in its pervasiveness," Utt begins. "Admitting that we’re acting in racist ways or supporting racist systems is terrifying. And it hurts. Scarier still is doing the deep emotional reflection to understand the ways that we may be truly racist deep down."

He continues, "I have an emotional stake in reacting defensively to allegations that I have hurt a person of Color with my privileged actions. I have an emotional stake in pretending that my equitable values are in alignment with the world I create for myself."

Utt then claims that those who vote Republican do so "against our self-interests in order to enact policies that hurt people of Color."

He then links to an article from the Guardian titled, "Working class voters: why America's poor are willing to vote Republican." In the article, it accuses whites of voting for Republicans, at least partially, because of racism.

By doing such things, we "are living in a "culture of make believe,"" he writes.

"And when we defend racist systems and refuse to be self reflective about our complicity in them," Utt continues, "we turn our back on that core, connecting aspect of what makes us human."

He concludes, "By investing in Whiteness, we turn our backs on our own humanity."

So this is the 2016 election strategy: Bring back the 1960’s racism. I guess when you’re out of options, and ideas, bring up the race wars caused by the Democrats in the 1960s and blame it on the Republicans. So shallow, so childish

I don’t get it: how is voting for the GOPe any different than voting for Democrats?

It isn’t. Jamie is trying to promote racism. Its the only thing Democrats have to run on in 2016, by creating and promoting racism, they can then blame it on the opposition party.

Meanwhile, in DEMOCRAT run Chicago:

“Fourth of July weekend shootings have left seven people dead — including a 7-year-old boy — and at least 38 others injured since Thursday evening.”

So, what are these dem voters “voting for”????

No Jamie. We don’t vote Republican to hurt people of color. We’re too busy buying guns to dend ourselves from them. You know, protection from stuff like home invasions, looting, robbery, rioting, property destruction, polar bear knockout games, murder, i.e. We also do it to stop putting people in power who keep handing them more money for freebies for votes. You know the type stuff that forces me to work longer hours so they don’t have to.

My advice tou you, Jamie. Go work a few real job and pay taxes so the feds can hand it to people who don’t appreciate it and just want more everytime you give them a little bit more. Then get back to me.

I confirmed my own suspicions about Mr. Utt:

Yes he is LGBT friendly. Obviously no girlriends unless their names are Tiffany Elise or Renee Cheree something and are found in bathhouses or gay bars uring the week and the have a (T) designation.

Yes. He is liberal activist. Probably one of the Soros funded activist groups if we checked.

Yes he has multiple social media profiles and is blogger. His Facebook page has over 4,000 friends.

Yes he uses phrases like “Black Lives Matter” and diversity like a parrot and is a white guilt liberal.

Yes. He is a university student.

"I have an emotional stake in reacting defensively to allegations that I have hurt a person of Color with my privileged actions."

Author embraces the concepts that there is 'white privilege' and that it inherently hurts non-whites. Missing is the reality that there is a very successful grouping of non-whites who value education and entrepreneurship, those of Asian descent. How have they succeeded in the face of the evil white privilege, hmmm?

In truth this is circular reasoning from a flawed premise and along with the newly coined micro-aggression, should be tossed in the trash can at the first opportunity. The desire for eternal victimhood is a cancer on our politics and society.

The entire racist history of this country is the result of Democrat, not Republican activity....the Southern states segregation, the Klan, voting against civil rights, a democrat heritage.

I vote Republican to keep Democrats out of office. If that hurts ‘em, well, sucks to be them, I guess. I’ll just have to live with the shame and guilt of it all.

By the way, that vote is the last, not the first act. I am busy before the primaries, and use the primaries to try to get the best Republican I can get on the November ballot.

But I have always operated on the basis that the worst Republican is better than the best Democrat. In all my years of being eligible to be involved that has been untrue exactly once, and that for a local office in which political ideology would be of minimal importance.

It’s hard being a conservative. Every day I wake up and there are:

- Women to oppress
- Blacks to repress
- Rivers and streams to pollute
- Illegal aliens to exploit
- Tax loopholes to manipulate
- Low income customers to cheat
- Precious natural resources to plunder
- Native Americans to insult
- Gays to offend
- Union members to abuse
- Politicians to pay off
- Poor people to demonize
- Toxic wastes to release
- Soils to erode
- Unhealthy foods to promote
- Unsophisticated clients to swindle
- Protected identity groups to mock
- Minority voters to disenfranchise
- Controversial flags to fly
- Elderly people to push off cliffs
