Feminists on social media are declaring that Father's Day landing on the longest day of the year is actually a conspiracy produced by "the patriarchy."

While hundreds of women's rights activists have taken to Tumblr and Twitter to declare that Father's Day propagates the rule of men over women, others claim that the conspiracy runs deeper. They claim that Father's Day was scheduled to land in June every year so that dads would have longer days than mothers.

National Woman's Day is March 8, which is also the day Daylight Savings Time begins. So March 8 is only 23 hours.
