The New York Times is just one big sort of op-ed that hates Texas, according to CNBC. Hosts of CNBCs Squawk Box discussed a New York Times article critical of Texas economy with former Former Dallas Federal Reserve President and current CNBC contributor Richard Fisher on June 4. The article was cynical about on Texas, prompting a discussion between Fisher and co-host Joe Kernen to say at least they put it in the op-ed section and it wasnt put as a fact. Fisher pointed out that the article wasnt an op-ed, rather it appeared business sections front-page. Oh, wait a minute, it's like everything else. It's one big sort of op-ed section, Kernen replied. Look, I like The New York Times, Fisher said. They hate Texas. I can understand it because their own hometown has done so poorly for so long. So it's jealousy.

The Times article had claimed Texass economic performance appears considerably less miraculous recently, but admitted that Texas still looks like a bright spot in the national economy. However, the Times suggested this reflected poorly on Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, and other Republicans who hailed the Texas miracle.
And, we Texans are supposed to care WHY?
“They Hate Texas, CNBC Contributor Says of New York Times”
Right back at ya! I’d give up reading before I’d look at that waste of newsprint!
The NYT hates Dallas, Texas, but loves dollars, taxes.
I think the New York Times hates anything outside of New York City.
The feeling is mutual, and Texas will be around long after the disunited states of Dotkbama collapses into a cesspool of liberal feces.
Are they afraid that Texas may become a new power center that could be a challenger to New York? Texas has a large land mass, a large population, a booming economy and access to ports. Hmmm.
Thats right Richard.
And just like with any other jealous under-achieving "Texas hater," folks in Texas just don't care.
Y'all have a nice day...
.
Bump to that.
We keep gaining immigrants, as well.
Lots from other, more liberal parts of the country.
People come here ready to work, and find the people here are darn nice, at the same time.
Op-ed is considered news for the idiot masses. The NYT is all Op-ed. They might as well put John Stewart in charge as editor and chief.
Texas - by just existing - empirically refutes the top 20 Leftist societal and economic tenets. They especially hate that our military intrastructure means we get more BACK from the fedguv than we fork over.
Texas IS a new power center. By 2025, it will outstrip New York State if the NE cant find a way to take Texas down. They like the redistribution of wealth but NOT away from the East and West Coasts.
We Texans hate them back!

Pace picante sauce, made in San Antonio had an ad campaign 20 years ago trashing some picante sauce made in NYC.
There were several...This is the one with “Get a rope.”
Just joining in with the Pentagon in declaring Texas ‘hostile territory’.
Reminds me of a summer in France in 1977. Same type of attitude among the Parisian media towards the “yokels” outside Paris. Yet, those same yokels treated me great, even with my bad high school French.
It worries me, though, all of the liberals that are invading Austin in particular. A great many “friends” moved to Austin between 2006-2010 when CA was bleeding tech jobs and Texas was looking so popular.
For the last five years or more I’ve been reading their social media posts decrying the “backwards” nature of things in Texas. Now though, they are starting to celebrate little victories like school board and local election decisions that are more to their socialist liking.
Instead of adapting to Texas, they are trying to adapt Texas...
I always liked the “King of the Hill” episode when Hank is so upset to learn that he was born in NYC while his mom was there on vacation.
LOL! I remember that episode of “King of the Hill.”
Though I have to say, Hank and his parents weren’t on vacation in New York City. Hank’s father was there in a failed attempt to kill Fidel Castro, and dragged Hank’s very pregnant mother to NYC along with him.
