Hillary Should Look At Her Own Office Before Preaching On Equal Pay For Women
A while back, we watched Rand Paul turn the standard media gotcha questions about abortion into a deft attack against the left. It was smart, tough, and something youd hope to see more of. If youve been watching Carly Fiorinas nascent campaign, you have. In fact, shes turned the idea of making opponents into their own worst enemies into something of an art form.
If Hillary refuses to answer a question, Fiorina points that out in her own response. If Hillary dodges the press for one of her supporter-only closed-door meetings, Fiorina sets up out front and invites the press to grill her. Its been a pleasure to watch and, yesterday, she used the strategy to turn a gotcha into a sharp attack against Obama and Clinton.
As youre probably aware, the left is trying to make equal pay for women into a major 2016 issue. It seems several, always unnamed, Republicans want to make sure women dont make as much money as their male counterparts. This, of course, is idiotic. ...But its the kind of identity politics that serves as the foundation of all Democrat campaigning and fundraising.
Here is just a part of what Craig Barrett, the CEO of Intel said praising Carly and I think he knows a bit more than most here, seeing as he has been through several CEOs of HP.
“Today, HP is a stronger company because of Carly Fiorinas bold action. Certainly some of this credit goes to current management, who capitalized on the changes Carly made. But it was Carly who shook up the status quo. She engineered the merger. She restructured the combined company. She positioned HP to gain market share, and she deserves credit for standing up to the naysayers and critics to achieve the positive end result.”
The most virulent critics of Fiorina are those who were personally affected by the trimming of dead wood at HP.
While not a big Carly fan . . . I think what she is doing is GREAT.
Good to hear.
Can you even imagine if Carly Fiorina is on the VP slot...a real mud fight with Hillary and Fiorina doing all the damage. Hillary is no match for the honed speech delivery of Fiorina after years of practice in corporate boards and executive meetings where she had to prevail over tough male & female counterparts!
So iCarly decides to pack it all in and move to DC to be an RNC hack.
Just wait til she begins attacking Cruz or any other conservative candidate.
Selling Carly?
There’s a whole bunch of melted PC boards in a landfill somewhere that happened during her watch at Lucent. She got a big bonus by stuffing the channel there. Figured she could stick the product in boxcars and send it out on rail. When the quarter ended, they could return the product.
Whoops - Sticking plastic boards in a hot boxcar in the Texas heat tends to degrade the product a bit.
It all went away.
HP used to be on the cutting edge, and she put them full on into PCs and printers. Oh yeah, HP is the company of the future because of Carly.
Nope, I didn’t work there, for either one. I just did the competitive intelligence on them for a rival company.
In her defense, she did what she was paid to do - gut the company by taking on Compaq and spinning of Agilent.
All the former HP types ran Agilent into the turf. Shame.
Did Fiorina fire you at HP or sumthin?
She was going to do well against Commissar Babs... until she didn’t.
Interesting comment on your part.
Too defensive about iCarly and too quick to go to ad hominum.
I’m beginning to smell a rat, RNC rat. Rather a mole.
Address my comments.
She is fully GOPe RNC, yes or no?
Excerpts from Drew Cline article in Union Leader:
“CARLY FIORINA, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard who has an 0-1 record running for elective office, is running for President of the United States as a non-politician.
Our founders never intended for us to have a professional political class, she said in her campaign announcement video. In interviews and speeches, she criticizes professional politicians, as she did during her Politics & Eggs speech in Bedford in February.
But professional politician rivals who underestimate this newbie do so at their own peril. She is extremely good at the presidential candidate thing.
In a sit-down interview on Tuesday, Fiorina was impressive even by the standards of Union Leader editorial interviews. Most candidates, seasoned or not, struggle to stay on message. The temptation to stray, to elaborate, to explain is too great. To overcome the impulse, they memorize talking points, after which they sound robotic... then they stray.
Not Fiorina.
Her ability to stay on message without repeating the same worn talking point four times is nothing short of remarkable. She told National Review Online that she learned how to hone a message when a professor at Stanford assigned a book of medieval philosophy every week and required students to condense it into a two-page paper.”

Consider 3 things.
1. Election was in California, land of wacko liberals, my own relatives living there included.
2. Carly was recovering from Breast Cancer.
3. Her daughter had passed away.
It is irrelevant speculation whether Fiorina is a GOPe mole or not.
What is pertinent, relevant and prescient is Carly’s ability to shred Hillary in not so friendly MSM interviews.
Agreed. Anyone that thinks a female business person from California is going to be a conservative is delusional.
I already told you I didn't agree with that assessment of her at this point. I'll reiterate this one more time, we've a long way to go, things are going to change.
And asking you a question is not going ad hominum, you do seem to have a hard for some reason as you go thread to thread with the same talking points.
As for me being defensive of her, I'm trying to be reasonable until I see something that is a game changer for her, right now she is slapping the crap out of "career politicians" and especially Hillary and the left.....I like that a lot, you?
It’s not speculation, nor is it irrelevant that she is on the RNC/GOPe team.
Anyone who dared to cut spending at HP has conservative instincts by any measure. IMHO opinion, if the next president does not have the pair to bring out of control spending in federal government, this country will not recover in 50 years.
Do have some evidence? Or is it your personal opinion?
She’s pretty much slamming the elitist too, don’t know how that fits being a “mole”
Until she proves otherwise, I am all for what she is doing, in fact, I like it a lot....especially with the beast!
Believe it or not, California has a lot of conservatives.
I was born and raised in So Cal and lived there for 40 years.
California at one time was a conservative State, California gave this Country the best President in my and likely your lifetime, Ronald Regan.
