In a newly released interview, Taylor Swift said that she believes misogyny is ingrained in people from the time they are born."
Ms. Swift was heavily criticized by feminists in 2012 when she stated that the word "feminist" was "too strong" a word to describe her. In the last three years, however, her opinions have changed.
Today, Ms. Swift believes that feminism is probably the most important" thing that women can get involved with. According to the young star, inequality is difficult to overcome because misogyny is ingrained in people from the time they are born."
She continued, So to me, feminism is probably the most important movement that you could embrace, because its just basically another word for equality."
Ms. Swift also said that women face a harsh double-standard, explaining, A man writing about his feelings from a vulnerable place is brave; a woman writing about her feelings from a vulnerable place is oversharing or whining.

Why can’t they just sing?
I also think she is beautiful, talented, and smart — in limited areas. But not smart enough to stay out of politics, and she is about to be eaten up by the wolves in Hollywood and the rest of the MSM. They’ve set her up and now are going to try to take her down for their own benefit.
If she has good advisors and listens to them, she’ll survive. Based on her comments here, she either does not or is not listening to them.
PS Yup, you are definitely 100% correct. Hollywood will shred her if she (or her people — if she listens to them) don’t wise up REAL fast.
Yeah. Another disappointment, just like the one I’ve put out of my mind.
Can’t recall her name now either; played June Carter in that Johnny Cash film. Right now, I can’t recall the name of the film.
Dayum, I’m OLD today....LOL.
I’ve only been next to the kit car version...still awesome.
I heard the Japs bought a bunch of the real ones. No clue if that’s true.
Reese Witherspoon
Walk the Line
In that case, Ms. Swift, why are you shaming people for the way they were born?
+1
Same old story. To maintain status/income in the entertainment world, one bows to PETA, NAACP, the Gay lobby and the DNC. Period.
Katy Perry was the last person to choose that path. Look at her Vans Warped Tour days and today. She used to sing “UR so gay (And you don’t even like boys” and then shot to stardom with “I kissed a girl”
That is all kinds of pretty.
Yes Sir, it certainly is.
“Ms. Swift also said that women face a harsh double-standard, explaining, A man writing about his feelings from a vulnerable place is brave...”
Wrong, a man writing about his feelings is called a pansy and told to “man up”, often by the very “feminists” who laud themselves as equitable. I guess you could call it the male equivalent of “slut shaming”. Just goes to show Ms. Swift has no idea what it is like to be a man, but why would she care about that?
You win the thread...kudos.
Oh, spare me from this twit.
Every time I go shopping, that cringeworthy song “Shake It Off” is playing over the speaker. I swear, if I have to listen to that tripe again...
And here I thought it was someone who used fermented soybean paste as part of a female medical procedure...this needs to be a Word of the Day
So much for a country singer.
