A University of Michigan student was removed from the school’s Residence Staff for asking what an acronym meant and was called “racist” for laughing at a subsequent joke.
The student, identified by the school’s newspaper only as “Chris,” was having a text conversation with other Resident Staff members over the internet. At one point he noticed that one member, who happened to be an African American woman, changed her handle to “Markley’s BBW.”
Mary Markley Hall is a residence hall at the university.
Chris subsequently asked, “What does BBW stand for?” to which another staff member responded, “bad baby walrus,” which Chris laughed at.
He has now been removed from the staff and called “racist” for the incident in question. The college claimed they removed him because of a “class requirement technicality,” but the problem had been resolved over a month before the disciplinary action.
Further, despite the college’s claim that it was because of a technicality, they specifically referenced the incident in question, and advised the student that he needs to know “how to better manage your involvements and to hold yourself accountable for your actions.”

I agree. I cannot see how it is racist. In addition: the black woman chose it as her OWN SCREEN NAME, so how could it be offensive to her or be racist?

Neither of the “B” in BBW stand for Black......I know of some black women that have try to hijack the term because back men are notorious for liking big women any color

I know that it takes longer than a normal transaction, and the banks tend to be inflexible on price. Plus, the place probably needs some fixin'.

I've also seen that acronym used as "Big Boned Woman" (which also means overweight).
A Soviet judge exited the courtroom, laughing hysterically. An attorney saw him and asked, “What is so funny?”
The judge wiped his eyes and said, “Oh, I can’t tell you, I just gave a man five years for that joke.”
Most likely the person making the joke had joke immunity: was fat, black, female or some linear combination of the three.

It is like that white guy who was fired for using the N-word, asking if it was OK to use the “n-word”, at a news station planning a news story on a group of blacks organizing a “take back the N-word” day.

I’m guessing you’re asking the first mortgage holder to take less than the balance due. Even at that “price”, be sure the house is a fair value market-wise. Just because it’s less than what is owed doesn’t mean it’s a good price. Also, any second mortgages on the place? And does THAT lender know about the deal?
Is the seller behind on payments? May or may not be. If they are, are they behind on taxes, etc? All of that will shake out by/at closing, but it’s nice to know about that stuff in advance.
