If I was unemployed, my parents would also have utilized certain “incentives” to get me off my fat rear to get a job. Old school Germans and Italians. Excuses didn’t work with them.

And before government intervention, it didn’t work for blacks, either. You had to get a job, join the military, or get out. No one could afford a grown man (and his appetite) who didn’t bring in any money.
