The List of Ping Lists |
This is the Game of Thrones S05E04 discussion thread. If you haven't seen this episode yet there may be spoilers here.
I was getting worried!
My big observation tonight is that the Unsullied are less impressive than I would think.
Kevin Hart plays Drinklagesls shadow uncredited of course shadows dont have speaking lines
I thought 10 unsullied in close quarters would have been plenty to handle those dudes in the masks.
Oldplayer
Apparently they were only somewhat sullied...
Why would Danerys kill Tyrion? Was he really close enough to the death of her family to be worth killing?
Selmy did pretty well tonight, but in the end, a bunch of guys with knives in an alley were just too much.
Disappointing, really.
I thought I was watching a scene from Baltimore, MD, but then the credits ran.
Disappointing indeed. Gandalf’s buddies would have done better. Thorin Oakenshield would have cleaved some of those dudes while his men watched his back and stabbed the heck out of the rest.
Just my opinion.

B: I see they show dropped more Info for the Viewers like a Bait on a Hook for the R + L = J Theory
C: Cearsi Played Margaery well, using those Faith of the Seven Guys to strike at her Brother
D: Jon Snow knows Nothing.
E: Everyone Knows Stannis is the Mannis, Even Littlefinger!

And that Scene with Stannis and his Daughter, AWWWW!~!!!!
Jon Snow is really going to get a complex — “Why does everything think I’m dumb??”
Well that answer is easy.
Stannis literally offered Jon everything he ever wanted, and doing so would only IMPROVE The North in every way. Becoming Lord of Winterfell has NO downsides.
He could Get Rid of the Bolton's, Help the wildlings find a place to live in the North (like the Bolton lands), thereby denying them to the White Walkers, he could get the Nights Watch the Resources that they need (Instead of Begging everyone like he had to do this episode)
But No, Because of DUTY and HONOR (and because he doesn't know a damn thing) he isn't >:(
He needs to listen to Ser Davos, the only one who has ANY sense >:(
If I were Jon Snow, Ingrid would have been all I needed to “know.”
Oldplayer
That scene between Stannis and his daughter was my favorite scene from this episode.
Stannis’s wife is even gloomier than Stannis. She really bums me out.
An immutable sense of honor is why Ned Stark lost his noggin.
Hopefully John not so rigid.
I know, she is a TOTAL buzz kill.
But we see Stannis really does care for his Daughter.
That is also why Robb Stark got killed >:(
Yep, excellent point!
Stannis’s daughter is a really bright character in the series.
She is a ray of sunshine compared to the brooding Stannis, and her mom reminds of one of Melissandre’s shadow assassins, only much less cheerful :O
I was really happy to see Stannis hug her. At first he was just standing there, and I was like C’MON!!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDIN’ ME, ok there he goes whew!
