Republican senator Ted Cruz said Wednesday afternoon he is long-term optimistic and short-term pessimistic on the question of passing any immigration reform legislation. Speaking with Javier Palomarez, the president of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Texan presidential candidate said he considers himself a proponent of immigration reform. But, Cruz added, political leaders should focus on those aspects that have bipartisan support.

Controlled H1B is a drop in the bucket compared to illegals. We need hotel and convenience store owners too.
I wouldn't give you a piece of used toilet paper with my feces smeared on it.
I am with you C19fan, you are correct!
It is about corrupt immigration.
You got it toyota.
bingo
Your agenda is showing. Legal immigration takes a low, low score on what people care about.
They care much more about illegal immigration.
But haters gotta hate.
Dividers gotta divide.
As for me and my house, time, effort, and money are already going to Cruz.
Cruz or lose.

However, this post really upset me...You see, I am upset because I care A LOT about H-1B visas eroding one of our strongest economic sectors, and I don’t believe that I have an agenda. I want the best candidate—period...
From your post, it would seem that you are trying to squash debate? It is the primary season...isn’t this a time to discuss candidates and their stand on the issues?
“Haters gotta hate?” Seriously?? This is not the Taylor Swift forum. I thought we are all all trying to learn about/debate/discuss conservative issues here.
I am VERY VERY concerned about H-1B Visas...Since when has being “low on what people care about” take precedence over liberty and conservative issues/values???
Sorry, but I see the ramifications of an influx of Indians or whoever willing to work for less...It will affect everyone as H-1B visa spouses get special treatment too—(You can thank Barack for that.) Sooo this goes beyond tech workers.
I like Cruz, but not his stand on expansion of H-1B visas, and perhaps it is an issue that does not matter to many, but it matters to me.
Cheap shot to say “haters gotta hate dividers gotta divide...are we supposed to just support the favored candidate in lockstep??? Dissent is not welcome?
I am not a hater, but I am looking for a candidate who will put US citizens and the USA first...that means securing the border, deporting illegals, and reducing the influx of foreign workers when we have a lousy .2% growth for the last quarter.
They are gonna hate, and they are gonna divide.
You believe 'em if you want to. I think they have an agenda.

I’m in complete agreement with you on this.
My husband and I were talking about it this evening. It isn’t the ideal position for Cruz to hold. I’m not in love with it. But it isn’t a deal breaker by any means, and it has nothing to do with illegal immigration, which he is steadfastly against-—always has been. Bottom line-—Cruz is dependable. This is nothing he hasn’t said before. He hasn’t flipped like Walker.
The thing is, do any of us really think there will ever be a candidate we’ll agree with 100%? We don’t agree with our spouses all the time, so why would we always be in tune with a political candidate? We, all of us, if we were honest, knew Ted would say SOMETHING we didn’t like.
I hate to say it, but I almost think there were some who were looking forward to it, just so they could yell and say “See there!” and stomp off in a fit.
Well, anyone who wants to do so is free as a bird, but it’s childish thinking. Ted Cruz is STILL the best candidate out there, by far. He’s as rock solid as you’ll find.
With that in view, what in the hell else do you want?? Are you waiting for perfection in a candidate? Well, I have news for you...that wait’s never going to end. There’s only one perfect person, and He hasn’t returned yet.
Lord have mercy, have the sense to recognize the best candidate we’ve seen since Reagan.
Then continue waiting tables at TGIFridays and live human n your parents basement and I’ll hire an Indian for $90k. Your generation just doesn’t get it.
Funny I am probably older than you.
I think I get it. You want to save a few dollars, so you're willing to sell out US citizens to import anyone and everyone who will work for less. Soon they will take your job. Or else, given that you work in government, so many workers and management types will be imported that your position will be marginalized. That is, unless you're a special, unique, irreplaceable snowflake. Here's a hint: You're not.
Ted Cruz!!!!
You’ve inspired me.
See my new tagline.
Rafael Edward Ted Cruz.
Rafael Cruz.
So, just because I know who I support, and support that candidate I'm a 'click it or ticket' kind of guy. Fairly narrow view, but if it floats your boat, go for it.
Doesn't matter though.
I'll keep sending real money to the candidate that I want to win the primary.
It's good to have someone to vote for. I don't want the media or the GOP-E to select the candidate withtout any pushback.

You sound like the typical milennial I get with no experience and no responsibility demanding more money than the 40 year old with 10 years experience, a mortgage, a wife, and 2 kids.
Irreplaceable? No. Realistic about what I am worth? Yes. You sound like you don’t even want to work. If you think you are worth more than what people will pay you, than go strike out on your own.
