During live coverage of the Baltimore riots during the 5:00 p.m. ET hour on Monday, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith scolded and mocked hosts of The Five for daring to ask legitimate questions about the violence.
Eric Bolling simply observing that the rioters were "predominantly African-American" set Smith off: "Hey, it's a predominantly African-American community....But if we want to create larger racial tensions on the heels of this and all the recent African-American problems that we've seen, then we can do that. But if we'd like to look at this as a history of people having problem with police, not people of a color, but people of a community who have had problems with the police."
Smith continued his rant: "If we want to turn this, as a nation, into something that will rile up the races, then we can do that. But it seems prudent to listen to the two sides....you get to this point, where you get no answers for eight days after a man [Freddie Gray] died for looking at somebody eight days later, people almost feel like they have a license to ill."
Greg Gutfeld called out Smith for seeming to rationalize the violence: "That sounds really disturbing to me. It's almost as though you're justifying this action, Shep." Smith declared: "I am in no way justifying anything. I'm telling you that if you forget history..." Gutfeld shot back: "I don't forget history...I'm looking at something that's really ugly right now.

Shepard Smith
On November 17, 2000, Fox News Channel TV host Shepard Smith was arrested outside the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee and charged with aggravated battery with a motor vehicle, a felony, in conjunction with an incident earlier that afternoon. At approximately 2 pm, Maureen Walsh, a freelance journalist, was standing in an empty parking space in a lot across the street from the State Capitol, reserving it for co-workers. When she refused to move at Smiths request, he drove his Mazda Millenium into the space anyway, striking her in the legs, throwing her onto the cars hood. Walsh said that Smith left his car, walked past her, and returned to work in the media tents erected outside the Capitol building. Capitol police took Smith into custody around 3 pm; by the end of the day he posted $10,000 bail and was released from Leon County Jail. The charges against Smith were ultimately dropped by the Leon County prosecutors office.

If watching news, I turn the channel to CNN if Schlepard Smitty is on. Guess this is Ailes' attempt to look fair and balanced. Also, can't stand Hannity with same talking points and the socialist commies he allows on his show. O'Reilly is a joke. Haven't watched him for some years.
Megyn Kelly is the best that Fox has, with Neil Cavuto a close second. Bret Baire is a fine reporter. Also, watch "The Five" if I'm on the treadmill at the time (usually the case). Have to admit I prefer Beckel with his increasing agreements with logical/conservative positions than Juan Williams' repetitive liberal talking points.
As for Whorealdo and his histrionics, he's a waste of bandwidth. He adds nothing to Fox News. Whorealdo and Schlepard should move to MSNBC they are so alike.
What ever happened to Laura Ingram's show? She was no-nonsense, also. Does Sustren still have a time slot?

you get to this point, where you get no answers for eight days after a man [Freddie Gray] diedMost homocide investigations take weeks or months. When police are involved, and at least a dozen were in this case, you have police attorneys and police unions slowing down the process even more. The investigation can take months, or even years. Shep isn't happy because we don't have answers for him after 8 days, and two riots already done?

If I remember correctly, Lindsay Graham, early on had a picture of Betty Davis on his website. I think he related to having big, expressive “Betty Davis” eyes.
The picture you sent of Shep with his weepy tears spoiling his make-up was scary-funny.
