Ian Reisner, one of the two gay hoteliers facing boycott calls for hosting an event for Senator Ted Cruz, who is adamantly opposed to gay marriage, apologized to the gay community for showing poor judgment.
Mr. Reisner put the apology on Facebook, where a page calling for a boycott of his properties, the gay-friendly OUT NYC hotel and his Fire Island Pines holdings, had gotten more than 8,200 likes by Sunday evening.
I am shaken to my bones by the e-mails, texts, postings and phone calls of the past few days. I made a terrible mistake, wrote Mr. Reisner.
The New York Times first reported on the event, a dinner and fireside chat on April 20, at the duplex Mr. Reisner and his business partner Mati Weiderpass co-own on Central Park South in Manhattan.
The two men are prominent figures in the gay rights community, and Mr. Reisner has been especially vocal about gay marriage. Hes also a staunch supporter of Israel, as is Mr. Cruz....

He made his fortune from that community.
Their boycott is a powerful threat.
I wonder why he didn’t anticipate this.
I can see him doing it if he were prepared for the blowback, but something here does not compute.
What about going on TV and saying, "Look, America. Drop this sick, wrong prejudice against Christians. Christians who follow their religion cannot approve of gay marriage. There has never been gay marriage in thousands of years of human history. I don't mind that the Senator feels differently about that one issue than I do. I hosted him because we agree on countless truly important, life or death issues like [name them]. Gay community, get over yourself. Stop copying the SS Troops, and allow all people diversity of IDEAS for once. Grow the heck up."
They neither confess, ask fogiveness, nor repent. Because they don’t believe they are sinners. That’s the difference.
Now, please crawl back into what ever slimy hole you oozed out of and just die.
(Why yes, yes, I am intolerant. Very much so.)
Yes - how intolerant it would have been for him to discriminate against an opposing opinion.

Do you harbor any doubts?

Doesn’t he have to provide service if it’s to the public?
Nope, a lose-lose situation, according to him, he just wanted to reason and encourage Ted Cruz over to the lefty persuasion, but apparently, just inviting some right-wing guy over to your place to try and talk your side is an awful sin to these immature, whining, deviants.
Yeah, it makes no sense to me, these guys already sound worse than the guys who criticized Jesus for eating with people who were sinners.
Jesus hopes they see the light...don't you?
Israel is the pro-homosexual rights place to be in The Middle East, if anything, supporting almost all those other countries, with have executed many people caught in homosexual acts, is the intellectual equivalent of admiring germany as a Jew during World War II when the Holocaust is being recorded, beyond the shadow of a doubt. These people need to get beyond their petty bullying and remove their heads out of their #$%^#$
May God bless you and your family on this Sunday night.
No, I am not stalking you.;-)
Many of the SS and Brownshirts were homosexual, too.
They deserve to pay for the pain they cause. I have no sympathy for these gaystapo.
I LIKE THAT!
Yes..some may call liberals dimwitted...I call it Stupid
The Nazis are alive and well, and they are wearing rainbow colors.
He’s being forced to apologize to save his business. Hopefully gays will eventually see this insanity for what it is. Not all of them, but enough.
I am certain that people who loved me prayed the same for me.
My mother, for instance.
