TRUMP: 'I'm going to surprise a lot of people' in 2016
Business Insider ^ | April 15, 2015 | Hunter Walker

Republican businessman Donald Trump on Tuesday announced the formation of a presidential exploratory committee.

This step is the closest Trump has come to officially launching a White House bid, and, in a conversation with Business Insider on Wednesday, he suggested it should serve as notice to those who doubt he's seriously considering the 2016 race. He decided not to run in 2012 after a lengthy, public flirtation with the prospect.

"This time, I'm very far down the line, so we'll see what happens," Trump said. "I'm going to surprise a lot of people."(continued)

I don’t begrudge the bankruptcies, it happens to people why try things they think will work and their plan fails, even if you’re Trump. He’s got balls, and I like that about him.

What bugs me about Trump, is that it’s always about Trump, and I think that a run for President is about Trump first, the country second. He’s too wishy washy on guns, on social issues, and a fair number of other things that are important to conservatives. He’d probably do a good job on the budget, and monetary policy though.

Trump is lot better than Obama and Hillary. And unlike most RINOs, he would be VOCAL.

I really hope he does NOT run.

I agree with pretty much everything Trump said at CPAC 2015, and I like his passion and executive experience.

But although I think he could make a huge contribution to a conservative administration, I think he would serve this country much better by being on the President’s team, rather than being president.

The one thing that Cruz brings to the table that no one else does is the ability to clearly and passionately articulate and advocate America’s core principles of liberty, limited government, free markets and Constitutional law.

Cruz makes a strong and compelling case for those values, which is critical because sadly we live in a time where almost no mainstream figure speaks about or thinks about those things, and most Americans – especially those who came of age under Clinton – don’t even know about those principles, without which America cannot survive.

I think honest active commitment to implement and defend those principles is the number one quality that’s necessary for a president at this time, if this country is to be saved.

And Cruz actually walks the talk. He had the nerve to publicly oppose ethanol subsidies to farmers in Iowa, and this week he refused to support the new Medicare bill because it hasn’t been paid for.

I'd love to have Trump negotiate with China for the U.S., but he's not the guy for the White House.

Trump is an interesting cat. Don’t think he’d be President, but at Commerce Secretary? That would probably be OK

Our last one of great prominence was Herbert Hoover. Trump doesn't play nice with others.

Donald Trump will have his mouth going as in perpetual motion, even as they have put him in a casket and lowered him into the ground.

Nothing much will succeed in getting him to just turn it off for five minutes, then he is right up and going again.

Sometimes I think his brain is not fully engaged before the mouth gets going.

The Donald has access to money, and that means he can buy as many bullhorns and microphones as he likes.

Doesn’t mean that I have to listen.

He’ll announce he is running as a DEMOCRAT, so he can put Hillary directly on the spot?

“I’m going to surprise a lot of people.”

**************

There are lot of people that are going to surprise a lot of people, imo. With Hillary
and the no named democrat contingent, the GOP with their bakers dozen and all the
other lesser parties and their wannabees there is room for lots of surprises.

Not one of those bankruptcy filings were completed, or went into to liquidation, so none were ever completed. They were all debt restructure or reorganization. I don’t like Trump, but facts are facts.
