On Wednesday, a young African American man posted a video to his Facebook page voicing his feelings after being pulled over by a police officer.
His message has since gone viral with over 20,000 likes and 64,000 shares. The man in the video, 22-year-old Army National Guardsman Will Stack, was reportedly stopped by the officer after ‘improper use of a median.’
In the video, which was shared by Young Cons, Stack explains:
“An officer pulled up behind me, throws on his lights. After understanding that he was there for me, I pulled off to the side and he came up and said how are you’re doing…
The reason I pulled you over is for improper use of the median. He told me what I did, asked for my license and my registration, I gave them to him. He left for a while. Now I will say that while he was gone and while he was with me, I made sure my hands were on the steering wheel.
I made sure to speak very politely as I always do. I did what he told me to do, I handed him the information and I sat there and I waited.” Stack elaborated on what unfolded after the officer returned:
“A few minutes later, the guy comes back. He hands me my stuff and explains the median needs to be open for emergency vehicles. I was in the wrong and I didn’t realize it. I just did out of habit. He gave me a warning and I was about my way.” He also emphasized his entire point for sharing his experience with the cop:
“Just because you’re black, doesn’t mean you’re a victim. Just because you’re white doesn’t mean you’re a racist. Just because you’re a cop does’t mean you’re a bad person. This world really needs to stop putting labels on people and things and see them as who they are – people doing jobs and things.” Stack ended his commentary by suggesting that ignorance doesn’t “have any color” and that “God doesn’t see any color.”
IJReview reached out to Stack about his video and asked him why he wants people to share his message. He said:
“The time of inequality is over. The time for looking our for just your group or race is over. It’s is going to take everyone looking out for everyone no matter the race or group, without the discrimination and racism. Its time to work together to save mankind.”
Yup.
I am white and I do the same thing. I am always polite, ask permission to get registration from glove box, and tell officer where my firearm is located. Hands on steering wheel.
Why would anyone expect leftwing Snopes or leftwing Politifact to tell the truth?

In my 40+ years of driving, oftentimes with a little bit of a lead foot, I’ve been pulled over by White cops, Black cops, female cops, Latino cops. Especially when I was a young punk with a slightly modified 68 Dodge Charger that I thought would be a chick magnet instead of a cop magnet. My reaction was always the same, yeah I’m PO’ed, BUT I’m respectful and cooperate with them AND always keep my hands in sight. Oftentimes they’ve let me go with a warning
Same with Wikpedia and Google, both communist propaganda agents controlled from the White Hut to advance the anti-God, sodomite, abortionist agenda. This past Easter, Google had no “doodle” honoring the Savior, clearly showing their in league with evildoers.
The number one thing a person can do during a night time stop to reduce the tension of the stop is to turn on your interior dome light.
He undoubtedly got a warning because he cooperated, was polite, and didn’t endanger anyone. Most (not the “bad apples”)police will pick up on such conduct and match it with their own. On the other hand, non-cooperation invariably leads to bad results.
Damn. If all the younger generation was like this I’d have a lot less worry about the future of the country.
The other acceptable position, even better, is left hand on the outside mirror, right hand on the top of the left wrist, holding it. Grabbing your watch, as it were, if you are wearing one.
In 60 year of driving I’ve always been polite and cooperative and kept hands on steering wheel; however, I’ve not been as lucky in getting warnings instead of tickets.
I’m unable to see the video now, but just to clarify, who was speaking and philosophising the driver or the cop?
Hands on the wheel at 10 and 2 or 11 and 1 is a prudent idea. Also, immediately telling the officer if you have a carry permit and where the sidearm(s) is/are located is appreciated by the cop too.
Good car stop. Good attitude from both men. I’ve personally seen bad attitudes from each perspective a few times in the past. Haven’t seen either perspective for a long time now. Life is good.
I have a friend that is mixed black, white, and with native american blood ( enough to be in a tribe), one time he was going through the state of MA and he had his gun on him for he is a pro 2nd amendment person, long story short he got pulled over, cop found out about it and he went to jail for 2 days, not once did did he ever complain that the white man was after him, it was what it was and got out of it and went back to work.

Honest to God serious question: This is apparently a fine young man, and a good, well-spoken citizen. But in the video he did something which I have noticed that MANY black individuals do when speaking. He frequently closed his lips and rolled them inward when he paused between words and between sentences. Many black people, of both genders do it when they’re talking, but more so males than females. Could it be just a nervous mannerism? I can’t help noticing and wondering.
