On the first day we saw the North Charleston, South Carolina, shooting video of Walter Scott by Officer Michael Slager we were as shocked as everyone. However, as research now indicates there is much more to the story.
What we cover here in the latest update might just change the entire way the story continues

You guys kill me. You think shooting someone is fun.
It is not legal to shoot a fleeing person for running away from a child support payment.
The fact that the cop moved the taser is proof enough to put him away for a long time.
Its not murder, but it certainly is manslaughter.
The Times lies as it is told to lie. The national agenda of the current regime must be upheld by the slimes, at all cost. Black people must be continually incited to hate and anger against White people and especially the police if the regime’s summer riots are to get out of ‘control’.
Who does that?
People who are afraid of cops who are threatening them.
An outstanding warrant for child support is not a shooting offense. My guess is the cop was being a jerk.
The guy was not just stepping away, he was easily 100 feet from the cop. Then the cop moves the taser and drops it at the victims feet.
The cop is a douche who should be tossed into the general population of the prison.
Or maybe you’ll become the victim of the lawlessness you champion.
The Rule of Law is the Cornerstone of Conservatism.
I don’t consider obeying the law “tyranny” and I’ve never heard that from anyone other than a liberal.
BS, you think getting tased is not assault.
The rule of law applied to fairly ALL citizens, including cops.
That and limited government.

Well, then how about the Charleston, SC Post and Currier quoting the official police statement, before the existence of the video was known?
A statement released by North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said a man ran on foot from the traffic stop and an officer deployed his department-issued Taser in an attempt to stop him.
That did not work, police said, and an altercation ensued as the men struggled over the device. Police allege that during the struggle the man gained control of the Taser and attempted to use it against the officer.
The officer then resorted to his service weapon and shot him, police alleged.
We already know that a Taser only has one dart shot, but can also be used as a contact Taser after the darts have been fired. According to the official statement, when would have Scott had the time and knowledge to remove the spent cartridge, retrieve the reload from the butt of the Taser, reload the Taser, and shoot Slager?
True. Thanks for the post.
You are defending Officer Slager by saying he’s a liar?
Yep, the video does not lie unless there is some video effects going on here. This guy was running away, was quite some distance from Slager and Slager took careful aim and fired off 8 shots until Scott was down. Absolutely no justification for that whatsoever, ESPECIALLY over a freakin’ traffic stop over a tail light!
“The man was running away and not any longer dangerous to the officer or anyone else.”
Truly an asinine statement.
It's kinda hard to make a rational, clear headed decision when one has just grappled on the ground with a thug who tazered you and you're pumped with adrenalin and anger.
I know, you're probably an ex navy seal but give the guy some sympathy, he likely never went thru the training you did..........
There’s certainly more going on than I realized.
1) Such as the long distance the fleeing suspect ran. I had thought it all happened in close proximity to the vehicles, not hundreds of feet away.
2) The down-on-the-ground fight between the suspect and the officer. I knew there was a struggle but I was thinking it was an upright grappling or a reaching/holding attempt by the officer.
3) The firing of the taser and apparently it was Brown that fired it against the officer. I frankly thought the officer saying he had lost control of his taser was either made up by him or that he had simply dropped it in the struggle.
4) I had wondered why Brown would flee when he had to know he had no chance of escaping unidentified. Now I wonder even more why would he flee, violently fight the officer and attack the officer with the officer’s own weapon. Because he was behind on child support payments? Sorry, I don’t buy that. People only get violent like that when they know they are looking at going to prison for a long time. You don’t get years in prison for missing some child support payments.
There is more to know about these things.
The boot lickers will never admit that...
Once again we learn that things are not exactly as they seemed.
This case is not as simple as first thought when the cellphone video surfaced, but it’s still really tough to imagine a justification for a (presumably) trained individual to shoot someone running away with his back turned to him.
It’s unfortunate that this plays directly into the hands of those who are apparently trying to federalize all police forces.
Maybe Slager shot himself with the taser. There is no way to prove one way or another.
True. Then why are YOU embracing this act of murder?
