On the first day we saw the North Charleston, South Carolina, shooting video of Walter Scott by Officer Michael Slager we were as shocked as everyone. However, as research now indicates there is much more to the story.
What we cover here in the latest update might just change the entire way the story continues

cop had a bulletproof vest on, so, maybe that played a part.
I'm not real sure what he moved. The trigger mechanism was behind him and another object was in front of him. He didn't move the trigger mechanism.
That’s about how it seems to be shaping up to me. Cop went too far and shot the guy who moments before had assaulted him and taken his weapon. It was wrong but not murder. Hard to find much pity for the victim who helped make it happen through his own bad decisions and actions. This was a bad situation but hardly the clear-cut case that the “hands up don’t shoot” crowd has been hoping for and which it initially seemed to be.
So now you are saying they charged an innocent man with murder to cover their ass?
This whole thing is starting to feel like a truther argument...LOL
He wasnt charged with anything until the video came out.
Simple logic would dictate that his report and the video dont jive.
Crim, that ISN’T what I am saying at all. I explore every idea in trying to understand what happened. Why do you reframe my words to make me appear to say what I did not. I speculated, I didn’t conclude.
Is there a chance that they deliberately overcharged him, in an effort to placate the mob, assuming that the charge wouldn’t stick at trial or in the grand jury? Another speculation, not to be assumed my opinion.
Do I believe that happened? NO. But, it is within the realm of possibilities.
Until the trial, I won’t judge him guilty as charged. After the trial, we will see. I disagreed with the OJ Simpson verdict, and watched every day of that trial.
“Thats one of the main points of the post Slagers report is deliberately being kept from us.”
Exactly! But... I thought I’d bring that point up in a subtle way that was bio-neutral, non-microagressive, and non-triggering so that some of the folks wouldn’t feel threatened. ;)
He did. If you watch the video, it's at the very end. It looks like it was the first back-up that arrived on scene who is assisting one of the EMTs.
“The powers that be in Charleston might have charged him, in an attempt to forestall a similar situation.”
Looks worded pretty clearly to me.
Why would they charge him with murder if they have no evidence?
I’m sure the folks at the Tree House can answer your questions, why don’t you ask them?
It will save you having to be so repetitive here...
The flee'er was a felon at that point. Cops can shoot fleeing felons. Citizens should be able to also.
I remember, years ago, overhearing a father fed up with his young son while I was shopping in the supermarket.
He said, in disgust. “you have a head like concrete, all mixed up and permantly set”.
No matter how many words I use to qualify my remarks, you don’t seem able to comprehend the difference between speculation and conclusion.
What part of “might” don’t you understand as speculation?
How does one administer CPR to someone laying face down?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbsEoXRxdPw
sheesh...they might have charged him......
I get it....I’m asking you WHY would they charge someone with no evidence of a crime?
Especially an Officer.
Just for show?
Besides being utter speculation it also isnt logical.
He would be able to sue the living crap out of him later when it turns out they had no evidence.
Look...if you cant the the holes in what they have posted at tree house in support of Slager then I cant help you.
Like posting a still pic of what they claim is an officer administering CPR to someone laying face down.
“See”
Stun gun. He is not going to get off a running shot on a turn with one of those.
Seen it. The video at treehouse is complete to the end when they are doing chest compressions. Might want to look it up.
That’s an easy question to answer. The Treehouse isn’t a Government authorized source for news reporting like the NYT, WaPo, AP, NBC, CBS, ABC, and for some reason, some people here just can’t accept that they might actually be more interested in the truth than a narrative that supports an agenda.
I’m still digesting everything being covered over at the Treehouse regarding this topic, but this link at least should illustrate that a lot of the information surrounding this incident is being manipulated by the same Black Grievance Industry (BGI) people that were involved in the George Zimmerman lynching.
There is still much to be learned from this incident, but after seeing what I saw this morning, it’s clear to me that this case is not as “cut and dried” as I previously thought it to be.
if the cop had been tazed why did he not mention it anywhere ?
