Air Canada will now require at least two people in the cockpit at all times after revelations Thursday that a Germanwings co-pilot steered Flight 9525 into a mountainside while the captain stood helpless outside a locked cockpit doo

smart and timely move indeed
Ohhhh, Canada.
Should’ve been the protocol for all flights.
I keep thinking how helpless those passengers must’ve felt, the sheer terror in last minutes..only a door blocking their lives. Horrible.
I’m curious how that will work. Say the pilot has to use the bathroom, who will be the 2nd person them?
Have an empty bottle up front for use? And tell the other person not to look? But then, what if one of the pilots is female, not to get too graphic here????
I think a fight attendant would do it.
But what if the pilot/co-pilot takes down the flight attendant?
Well then that would make three total - somebody has to use the lav sometime ...
Okay, that would have worked this time. As long as the West is morally bankrupt; running on the fumes of a great civilization (Sunlight on a broken column), removing all traces of accountability (government has taken over the role of family and social networks are mostly anonymous), teaching materialism and humanism in every institution, as long as we keep that up, intelligent, creative reprobates will figure out ways to kill a lot of people.
New ‘job opportunities” are opening quickly over at Germanwings. “bout time the reset of the airlines got the message, trouble is, the price of air travel just jumped again. Guess “insurance” doesn’t come cheap.
Intelligent, creative reprobates have figured out ways to kill a lot of people for thousands of years.
Ok, so now a flight attendant goes in the cockpit. That won’t stop a jihadi planning to do his last allaku akbar thing.
And they both can’t be islamojihadists or on anti-depression medication.
Why was Andreas Lubitz’ Facebook page taken down? Were there a few rainbow flags flying on his page? Me thinks he had a case of the ‘sudden homosexual hissy fit’ syndrome.
Better to have a pilot on anti-depressants than a pilot who is depressed WHO HIDES IT AND NOT ON ANTI-DEPRESSANTS. Perhaps we’ll discover pilot Lubitz was NOT on anti-depressants!
There’s something very 911-ish about that crash. They find any Korans in his house?
It has been for US carriers for some time now. Not sure when the rule started but it goes back at least 8 years.
