Its been a long time since Ive heard any political figure do what Sen. Ted Cruz did yesterday in his announcement he is seeking the Republican nomination for the presidency.
He delivered an electrifying, motivational, rousing case for liberty explaining why its not too late, why Americans dont need to lower their expectations, how this country has overcome greater odds in its history.
And what did his critics say in response?
I kid you not. This is what they said on CNN, on MSNBC, on Fox.
Hes only been in the Senate a short time.
He has no government accomplishments in his life.
He has no executive experience.
There are questions about his constitutional eligibility for office.
What?
Where were these folks in 2008 when a virtually unknown, inexperienced, eligibility-challenged community organizer and short-term senator ran for the presidency?
The answer is they were right where they are today, but none of them raised these questions. In fact, when others did, they labeled them as racist....

Does Biden think Cruz is clean and articulate??
Cruz is hispanic, so those in the media who raise this point are obviously racist
Screw those Nattering nabobs of negativity!
The one qualification of Ted Cruz that matters to me more than anything else at all is that he is an honest man.
I am so tired of being lied to. I feel like my entire country has become a lie. I am starved for truth, and I value a man who speaks truth immensely.
Yup, they are trying to keep a Latino man down, the system is against him.
They are pure racists.
Ditto Exactly!!!!!!!
Why should Cruz be President? Let us count the ways...
Pretty impressive...
Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, not to mention the longest tenure in Texas history.
Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firms U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.
Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court
Cruz served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Cruz was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States
Described as a superb constitutional lawyer, the mans considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question.
In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan. Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.
Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission
Domestic Policy Advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign.
Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation
Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%...
he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.

On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He is now spearheading efforts in the Senate to have root-and-branch...
Godspeed, Senator Cruz- Im all in.
I stand with Ted
Cruz is completely unqualified. What experience has he had navigating the sociocultural landmines of a mixed-race experience in an elite Hawaiian school? What does he know about having his tuition paid for by seedy PLO-connected Chicago Marxists, and bravely protecting the American people from that knowledge or any other knowledge of his records? Not long ago our President might have been in France but he boldly stayed on the couch all day watching football. Does Cruz have that kind of confidence? Al least three golf clubs in Connecticut alone have asked the White House not to request Obama visits. Does Cruz have that kind of clout? What does this “Law Partner” know about living a Billionaire lifestyle never having had one actual job? NOTHING. Cruz is clearly a lightweight.
The truth is they will never be able to keep Senator Ted Cruz down. He is a soaring missile armed with a warhead that will nuke the entire DemonRAT lie. That warhead is the truth and the media will not be able to shoot it down.
Thank you for your post. You might add that he was named the smartest student ever by Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz and that he was the debate champion at Princeton.
His accomplishments are impressive for his (as Reagan might quip) youthful inexperience. His intelligence and likability scare the living hell out of the Left (and the GOPe).
If we can do the same grass roots push on a national scale, we could bring the GOP(e) to its knees.
...and without a TelePrompTer.
