Almost every feature of gun proprietorship for women have been looked at with the exception of an exceptionally key inquiry: What are the reasons that motivates women to buy and own guns? In this last segment of NSSFs report, we look at the driving variables of a women enthusiasm for owning guns.
According to NSSFs survey, the biggest motivation for a womans purchase is personal defense. Almost half of the women in the poll stated either self-defense (26.2%) or home defense (22%) as the most important reason to own a gun. Another significant motivator was hunting at 15.3 percent.
To further prove the claim that women primary reason to purchase firearms for defensive use, is to look at the sentiment data in the NSSF's report. See it here.

For some strange reason it seems that the Commonwealth countries all consider acts of self-defence to be more serious crimes than whatever criminal act necessitated a person to defend themselves. The suicidal insistence that victims cooperate with their attackers utterly confounds me.

Some carry because carrying a firearm is more convenient than carrying a Marine, some because it's less distracting. In either case, it's nice for all people to be able to defend themselves against thugs.

It makes good tactical sense. No thug is going to get the first shot against her - or against you.

Don’t all women carry for the same reason that all men who carry do? Protection.
We live in a dangerous world that is getting more dangerous.
George Zimmerman carried and is alive because of it, many others share the same fortune.
We will not willfully bow down to the unlawful thieves and murders in our society.
