The House on Tuesday admitted defeat after a month-long effort to defund President Barack Obamas executive action on immigration, and passed a Department of Homeland Security funding bill that leaves Obamas plan intact.
The vote came after dozens of House Republicans fought to the bitter end to reject the clean DHS bill, in an effort to oppose what they see as an unconstitutional action from Obama. The House passed the bill 257-167, and sending it to the White House for Obamas signature into law.
In the end, 167 Republicans voted against the Senates version of the bill. But because the bill was supported by every Democrat, only 30 or so Republicans had to support it to ensure its passage, and 75 GOP members voted for it.

It appears to me that Boehner took the position of giving the de-funding a chance on it’s own without leadership cheerleading the notion. Knowing it will fail somewhat short and a clean resolution will go through. He played both ends.
Given the fact that only 75 Republicans house members voted for it should give him a bit of a concern. It shows how really little control he has. He’s surfing with a tidal wave behind him.
I think the House and the Senate should join in a joint resolution that declares to the judicial system that they protest to Obama’s abuse and are calling him out on it.
But ... we wonder why so many Rino’s and weak spined Republicans are avoiding confrontation. I think we have the answer now. They want to further Federalization and conversely diminish the sovereignty of the States. So what Obama is doing is A-Okay with them.
You mean ‘nay on tabling’ I think.
These phonies are disgusting (and should be exposed) but they at least care enough to try to fool their voters LOL!
The heart of the enemy are those who voted for passage.
Here are 26 republicans who voted to bring the vote but then voted against it:
Cook
Cramer
Crawford
Crenshaw
Foxx
Grothman
Joyce
Lucas
Luetkemeyer
McKinley
Messer
Newhouse
Olson
Reed
Rigell
Rokita
Russell
Thornberry
Wagner
Whitfield
Womack
Young (AK)
Zinke
Beat me to it.
We got them all listed on later posts here. Need to get these names out on the net and on talk radio.
I would add Gowdy, and Walker to that OP. Now that is a party that I could and would get behind and support!
I’m so glad someone else checked it too. The names were running together...
I’ve got Brady on the list too since he didn’t vote on the motion to table but that’s the only difference I see.
There were several that did not vote on the motion ro table but voted aye on the bill.
Need to get those names to people in their districts and let them know these are snakes.
Need a UNITED STATES INDEPENDENT PARTY (USIP).
Need big $$$ to back it.
42% of electorate is now registered Independent and most of them are conservative.
Now THAT is a job and position that Boehner should be qualified (by now) to have/hold! It’s the only one, in fact.....since he is, thus far, the biggest producer of said “R” poop.
Neglected to copy over three more;
Amodei
Bucshon
Conaway
I guessed right, Bruce Poliquin (supposed Tea Partier from Maine) voted for this. Both votes. He voted for Boehner also.
Some of us here have been saying all along that the GOP is complicit with the leftist (Obama) agenda. This latest action is just more proof of that suspicion. Case closed.
Well we know of a couple/few (at least) rich talk show hosts that would no doubt support them with their $$$. And I’m sure there are a lot more rich conservatives out there that have stayed under the radar due to the Traitor-In-Chief. Time to come out in the open and take a final stand. All or nothing.
I said it at election time. I hope they all get theirs on judgement day.
The Yeas were voting to kill the amendment getting a vote.
Look at the NO list, the one with all the dems were all GOPe RINOs. I know, I know, only in politics could a no vote really be a yes vote.
I've got better things to do with my November Tuesdays.
I disagree. I think an even higher price is necessary to get these arrogant traitors' attention. They took an oath to uphold the US constitution. They lied. There should be more consequences for betraying that oath and betraying your country...with very likely lethal consequences... than merely not being re-elected.
Oops. Thanks for the heads-up, Hostage. I misread the roll call for tabling the vote concerning Ellmers. I didn’t give her credit for being as consistently pro-amnesty as I should have.
