Victoria Jackson, a six-year veteran of Saturday Night Live, is publicly wondering if her opposition to gay marriage prompted Lorne Michaels to treat her differently than the other cast members who attended the 40th anniversary of the show Sunday.
Jackson, on her Facebook page, Twitter and in interviews, has mostly raved about Michaels and thanked the creator of SNL numerous times for hiring her in 1986, though she is also saying that she was the only castmember at Sunday's event to be banished to an overflow room.
Some bloggers noted the oddity and were wondering if Michaels or someone else involved with the seating arrangements might have been sending a political message to Jackson, who is a Christian conservative, a Tea Party favorite and an extremely vocal critic of President Barack Obama.
While Jackson herself has been downplaying politics, she did speculate on a radio show Tuesday that her views about homosexuality might have played a role.
"I was the only castmember put in the overflow room," Jackson told radio host Rusty Humphries. She said cast SNL alum Robert Smigel also noted that she was the only castmember in the lesser room....

I’m surprised they let Norm MacDonald go anywhere near the SNL special, he may not be a conservative ...but, he’s damn sure not anywhere close to being politically correct.... his segments on Dennis Millers radio show used to be great....
Yep. She lays it all out there....and doesn’t pull any punches, when it comes to calling out 0bola.
In a car with young boys in the back seat, who were being coached to do the same thing.
Yes, she really is.
Mrs. panax & I had the pleasure of talking with her for about 20 minutes at a TEA Party in Albany, NY. She treated us like we were life-long friends. Great gal and genuine in her beliefs.
Wish I knew how to post pictures here. Have some great ones of her and my lady hugging and talking.
That will do it!
I did see a clip of Palin on the SNL anniversary show asking how much they would pay her to run for POTUS this time, funnier is she THEN asked how much for her to run with Trump.
She definitely gets the Joke, more than a few here miss it, GO SARAH!
Lorne, you ignorant slut.
Victoria seems to be a down to earth lady. Visit her site occasionally to see what might be happening in her world.

True. I interned for Miller years ago here in L.A and SNL disgusts him. One of the best group I ever worked with. Top to bottom, only 1 Dem in the production crew. Damn, it was heaven.
Trump a Conservative. That's funny.
On his radio show when O was running for election people would call in and warn about O and Dennis said he would give him the benefit of the doubt and he thought people were to harsh on O.
As the years went by and I would catch his show he had done an about face on O and he calls it like it is now. He does not like O or his policies. I wish more people could see through Obama as clearly as Mr. Miller does now.
I believe Norm lost the SNL gig due to his merciless skewering of OJ Simpson. The West Coast NBC guy was good friends with Simpson. Buy-bye, Norm! (I really enjoyed Norm and was angry he was let go!)
SNL is the Bruce Springsteen of comedy...Some good creations in a few years and then stretched out for all it’s worth for the next 9 gabillion years. Enough already, bury it. Same with Paul McCartney who I saw was on this show. Here’s a guy who was in a band that recorded pro for barely 7 years, 6 is more like it, and when they broke up he recorded a few left overs and the dude hasn’t written one freakin good song on that level for the next 40 years yet he constantly gets his arse kissed and constantly gets awards. Why? Just what exactly are they awarding? Extreme mediocrity? It’s insane, it’s like throwing countless awards at Hootie and the Blowfish.
She was welcomed to come and they even ran a clip with her which says a lot. Dennis Miller went as did Jon Lovitz who everyone made fun of as being dead. Sandler was also tThere and Schneider was too.
Rusty return to radio? He all but quit in 2011 over some issues with his employer then by 2013 he began working with The Washington Times doing a podcast/blog. I dumped the podcast as soon as he was taken off air as it was more a psychology hour.
I was lead to believe she wasn’t coming to the show, but I see she did. Well she did what she could. I had though there would be an overflow room.
thought not though.
By podcast I mean the podcast to Rusty’s radio show.
...way to induce vomiting.
Not sure about that. SNL has always been the same thing to me. If you hate quirky, wild, dummy, stupid, annoying and bizaree characters it won’t be to your liking. The show process to get on and to get tickets and the get a sketch is messy. But it spawned a lot of comedians who went on to better things. Many were left winged, but most never show it like Bill Murray or Dana Carvey or Molly Shannon.
That’s what happened. The plan was for the real Burt Reynolds to come on SNL’s Celebrity Jeopardy sketch as a dumber version of the character but Norm was fired before that came off.
