Victoria Jackson, a six-year veteran of Saturday Night Live, is publicly wondering if her opposition to gay marriage prompted Lorne Michaels to treat her differently than the other cast members who attended the 40th anniversary of the show Sunday.
Jackson, on her Facebook page, Twitter and in interviews, has mostly raved about Michaels and thanked the creator of SNL numerous times for hiring her in 1986, though she is also saying that she was the only castmember at Sunday's event to be banished to an overflow room.
Some bloggers noted the oddity and were wondering if Michaels or someone else involved with the seating arrangements might have been sending a political message to Jackson, who is a Christian conservative, a Tea Party favorite and an extremely vocal critic of President Barack Obama.
While Jackson herself has been downplaying politics, she did speculate on a radio show Tuesday that her views about homosexuality might have played a role.
"I was the only castmember put in the overflow room," Jackson told radio host Rusty Humphries. She said cast SNL alum Robert Smigel also noted that she was the only castmember in the lesser room....

I missed the first hour, but I did not see Dennis Miller (except in clips of past shows).
Denis has often said on his radio show and on O’Reilly he had his time and had no interest in having anything to do with SNL
Lol....perhaps Lorne didn’t care for the songs she sings....

I noticed a few newspaper reviews of the show cite this joke...IoW, pretty difficult to size up even a decent representation of the jokes mentioned...yet two reads I found managed to include that dig toward Fox.
On the plus side of the show, SNL didn't see either Brian Williams (via Seinfeld's joke) or Bill Cosby (Celebrity Jeopardy skit) as being untouchable.
On the negative side, Jackson and Miller not mentioned and the Ambiguous Gay Duo film clip showed what appeared to be a Robin character committing a sex act upon Batman.
Dennis used to be a hard-core lib. He has seen the light, but now Hollywood won’t hire him because of it
By far the hottest actress ever on the show, she played the ditzy yet sweet blond, but in real life, as a conservative, she is smarter than all of her other cast mates.
Many were lying saying that she wasn’t even invited. I hate liars and misinformation because it gets people upset for nothing.
Thanks. I do not watch O’Reilly very much, but the Miller segments are my favorite part of the show
I was in love with her even before I knew she was a conservative.
He's even been given a HBO special "The Raw Feed", which was very conservative.
My suspicion is that he's a social liberal, but hard core fiscal conservative.
But I also believe he's got SOME social conservative leanings.
When gays were protesting either Basic Instinct or The Silence Of The Lambs, on Weekend Update, he said: "Nothing shows how serious you are about your 'cause' like showing up in clown makeup and leopard-skin tights."
They really need to have her play Marie Harf in a “Jane You Ignorant Slut” flashback Weekend Update
Well Victoria, you don’t support bankrupting America. The invasion by other countries poor and illiterate and criminals and you don’t thinks men should put their sex organs in other men.
Victoria, you’re lucky they didn’t just shoot you on sight.
Way to go Victoria, I love ya’.
Me too.
Honestly, I thought it was some kind of put-on, but she's the real deal.
Wonder if she's always been conservative, or she's changed.
I can't imagine Lorne Michaels ever "allowing" that on SNL.
Supposedly Jim Downey was the resident "conservative" writer on the show.
But really, how often do you see anything but liberal crap?
Where was Mike Myers??
He did a Wayne’s World skit.
They did a Gag about Fake News and showed a Fox News Graphic.
I was hoping for a Brian Williams / NBC News Graphic, but I knew better. LOL
The were never brave in their humor.
She is the real deal.
Wow.
Whatta girl!
