I agree. He was falling as he took the steps and the rule is clear he must maintain control after hitting the ground which we know he did not.

When he hit the ground, Dez lost control of the ball, and then regained it, but he did not maintain control throughout... PERIOD!

Then the problem is the rule itself.
Bryant actually took THREE steps after he caught the ball...and his knee touches before the ball comes out - at worst, that alone should have made this call “disputable”..

It’s truly appreciated and I’ll also not watch the college football game tomorrow night at Jerry Jones’ place since it was built with the same money supporting child murdering. The NFL and Jerry Jones are beyond vile. And it’s not too much of a stretch to suspect that college football is also somehow mixed up in the evil abortion industry. Possibly, I’ll still watch some select high school football since I do enjoy the game itself. But the slaughter of babies — and those supporting it — is simply unacceptable. Period.
Nah it was only two steps at best, and the second step was more of a horizontal extension of his leg as he was already well into falling.

The problem is he didn’t hit the ground after the catch. After the catch he took two complete steps so the catch was over and he was then running. What if he ran ten yards after the catch then it pops out the same way, would that still be an incomplete pass? Of course not. Taking two steps ended the catch part of the play, he was then running after the catch. First and goal.

But he didn't run ten yards. He fell immediately after taking the ball into his hands; it was immediate. Watch the loop running in post #39. It's pretty clear to me...and the refs seemed to agree, which is why they overturned the call on the field.

Bryant got two feet down and he did so in a very quick manner. He then lost control after hitting the ground. According to Mike Pereira, the former NFL VP of officiating, that makes it an incomplete pass.
Packers fan here. Dez took three steps. Stupid call. Stupid rule. The nfl needs to fix these rules before next season because their product is unwatchable. I am canceling my Sunday Ticket this week because they are running the league into the ground. He had possession when he came down with two feet and then turned to move to the end zone.
Week after week their idiotic rules are ruining the game. All effort is going to appease leftist groups and none into pleasing their actual customers.

So the refs should just enforce smart rules?
There are a LOT of stupid rules in the NFL — look at how often defensive holding has been called this year. Or “running into the kicker” (aka Soccer Oscars). Or “lets put the QB in a freaking dress” rules.
But rules they are and everyone has to play by them.

That idiotic. Sorry but romo had over a 100 qb rating today. He threw an incredible pass to Bryant in a huge situation. romo runs the plays. He doesn’t call them.
