The news media is the main threat to our freedom and to our economy

The media are all liberals/socialists/democrats. they are not reporters : that's just a front for them to spread their religion of socialism to fundamentally transform America and the world into a socialist hell hole “from each to his ability to each to his need”. the media are hell bent on this ,every democrat is . In this socialist utopia you have no rights to own property to own your own life as what you “need” is decided by a government bureaucrat not by you. This is what every democrat wants .

The corrupt Praetorian newsmedia has probably sunk as low as possible, but it continues to wallow in the filth of absolute bottom.

The news media lied.

Most of the news outlets reported this fake Scalise story as if were true.

Defiled themselves??
How, exactly?

They are slapping high-fives at each other over this.

It does not matter what the TRUTH is, only that a pro-Democrat NARRATIVE has been established.

Like Scalise or hate him, it is WRONG to paint someone as a racist who is not. There is a theme being pushed by the left that all Republican’s are racist. It is very important that they not get by with this. Someone needs to dig out the story behind the story — like who is behind this and why did they wait until now to spread it around.

The fact is Scalise has been a stooge and hatchet man for Bonehead.

That in itself is enough to remove him, white supremist or not.

So, the organizer of the Duke event was also head of civic association which he had meet at the same place on the same day. He invites "clean" people to speak to the civic group, and he invites KKK-type people to the 2nd event later in the day. There is some crossover of people.

EURO attendee about Scalise’s speech as “crossover in the hospitality room.” “Some of the EURO members who came from out of town came to the hospitality room and sat in the audience

This is how a person would plan plausible deniability.

Guilt by association does NOT make a good argument in any case. It works, however, with fools. The media depends on fools. Fools are their bread and butter.

The supposed “crime” of speaking once with a white supremacist group in attendance in the audience does turn me off but misses as a scandal. This is particularly the case since no harm was done to the political career of a man who sat in the congregation of the church of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years and whose most trusted advisor on race relations is Al Sharpton.

In absolute desperation, the left is frantically scraping for anything to stop the ideological flow which has been tipping from democrat to either libertarian or conservative.

Their current strategy includes trying to recreate the sixties, which means they will try to link racist groups with the conservative movement.

Funny—racist groups are historically leftist.

The charge of racism was on Page One, above the fold, in 72 point headline bold type.

The retraction is on page 17, in 8 point type, on the lower leftmost column.

It was ever thus.

The truth doesn’t matter, it’s the narrative.

Either the congressman resigns or the media gets to mention how he spoke before a supremacist group every time he’s even peripherally attached to a story.

For the libs, it’s a perfect win/win scenerio.

Awful, STUPID headline.

“Defile” means to corrupt something that was innocent. I think we can all agree — the “left wing media” has NEVER been innocent.

This is why I no longer watch any cable news. Nothing but scandal, gossip, and innuendo. It’s vulgar and appalling.

It matters not whether Steve Scalise spoke at David Duke’s event or not. The Southern Poverty Law Center got the message out and the MSM, including FOX ran with it.
Now Scalise is damaged goods and every time his name is mentioned in the MSM there will be an identifier that he spoke at a “White Supremacist” meeting. Mission accomplished.

In my opinion, this is just the first of many such disclosures to come.
To me what is more interesting is, the Democrats have been doing this for thirty or more years and the Republicans still fall for it every time. Back peddle, condemn the “offender”, then call for his resignation.
Mike Reagan at one time called the Republican party, the Stupid Party. Actually they are the Castrated Stupid Party, even now with one of the largest mandates in the past 100 years.
What a start.

It’s been stated, and what was stated is now fact in the minds of the target audience. Nothing will change it, and the MSM will pay no penalty for the crime.

And the point is...?

A politician must speak to anyone who will listen. The fact that he speaks to someone has nothing to do with endorsing the listener’s views.

I would say, “I will readily speak to the KKK in hopes of changing their views. Heck, I’ll even speak to progressives but will hold out less hope.”
