A pastor at a northwest Oklahoma City church who has been a vocal proponent of gun rights has been cleared of wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy at the pastor’s home.The pastor even put signs on his family's home warning criminals of the danger: From oklahomasentinel.com:

On December 23, police identified the alleged intruder as 14-year-old Keontre Reese.

One on the front door reads, “Nothing on this property is worth your life.”While on a mission in Africa, Pastor Vinyard's home was invaded and his skull fractured. He and his family cooperated with the robbers, but it was not enough. Highly restrictive gun laws in the country that they were in prevented them from being armed.

There is an AP stylebook rule that says, as I recall:
Racial identification should not be included in any story unless such reference is clearly relevant to the story or when part of a detailed description of a fugitive.

Given the signage available, I would attribute this incident to the failure of the school system to teach reading and critical thinking skills.

With a name like Keontre it is likely that there was no importance placed on education in his family if he had a family beyond a mother and her boyfriends. He possibly couldn’t read the signs or disdained reading and didn’t.
My response was specifically in regard to the ubiquitous use of the weasel word "alleged".
But it doesn't surprise me at all that the AP (Absolute Propaganda) would impose a diktat like that.

The pictures in the OK media of Keontre appear to have been taken from this site. I just Googled “ Keontre Resse pictures” and found his site.
Guess they haven’t gotten around to taking it down yet, kind of like covering up the tracks or the old Hitlery trick of destroying the evidence.
