Buffalo, NY A high profile case of Buffalo police killing a mans dog while looking for non-existent drugs, has led to a Freedom of Information request revealing some sadistic figures.
On June 3, 2013 Buffalo police raided a mans home to look for crack cocaine. He was not there, nor was the crack.
The home belonged to Iraqi war veteran, Adam Arroyo and his 2-year-old pit bull Cindy.
Upon breaking down the door to Arroyos home, officers encountered Cindy, who was barely 50 pounds, and shot and killed her. They were at the wrong apartment.
According to use of force reports requested by WGRZ-TV under the Freedom of Information Law, Buffalo Police shot 92 dogs from Jan. 1, 2011 through Sept. 2014. Seventy-three of those dogs died. Nineteen survived.
To provide a comparison, Buffalos numbers more than triple the amount of dog shooting incidents involving police in Cincinnati, a municipality of similar size.
The numbers are what the numbers are, Buffalo Police Chief of Detectives Dennis Richards said in an interview with WGRZ. Certainly, no officer takes any satisfaction in having to dispatch a dog.
Perhaps an even more disturbing reality is that nearly 30 percent of these dog shootings in Buffalo were carried out by one man. The unidentified officer has shot 26 dogs, killing 25 of them, in just the last three years.

They are all very, very good!
We live out in Bugtussle, OH, where the houses are few and far between amongst the corn fields.
The mail lady drives a truck, and she doesn’t exit the truck to put the mail in the box. No one on
Earth could walk her route and get everything delivered on time.
If she is delivering packages, however, she does bring them to the door. But we don’t have dogs.
Yet.
“There are some bad Cops. “
Show me the good cops that arrest and prosecute the bad cops. What, maybe three in the past few years?
If they won’t arrest bad cops and protect us from them then they are as complicit as the bad cops in their acts; meaning, they aren’t good cops at all. They are just cops going about their day hoping not to get involved.
Lovely photos, Ed. Thank you for posting them for us to see.
“God I get sick of the ones who cannot seem to focus on more than one issue at a time.
They *always* pop on these threads.
What would happen if I interrupted a pro-life thread with dog complaints?
Think theyd love me for it?”
It is like dealing with ‘that’ teacher in school, who couldn’t understand why all of life didn’t surround their calling of verbs, adverbs, and extra adverbs. The one who thought your math studies got too much focus.
They do the same with churches. Any church that doesn’t share their mission is a traitor. No one could possibly have any other callings in life.
I wonder if they handle their finances the same way? Does it ALL go into anti-abortion, or do they save a little back for the car, rent, their kids, etc.
Ya the horse left that barn long ago...
Yep - perfect way to look at it. Unless that animal draws first blood, you should be fired for being a nutless wonder. Besides, pepper spray and tasers do a world of temporary hurt.
IMO, they should embrace these threads because it’s just another face of the same evil; the indifference to innocent life.
One breeds and feeds and the other.
Killing innocent, defenseless beings is unacceptable, no matter how many legs they have...or those that have no legs at all.
Some of us are -really- pro-life, in all its myriad forms.
Please name even one of them who posts here.
I knew you’d want the opportunity to attack fellow FReepers who object to this poor maligned policeman’s actions.
you really are a loon
Or the two year old in California?
I dunno. Even a Disapproving Doberman might be inclined to support that line of action.
Here’s a start:
“Disapproving Doberman disapproves of this thread. Please cease and desist discussing human babies and discuss the barbaric and harmful practice of Doggie Treat Scarcity.”
—D.D.

Why is it that they pop up on these threads, but not on the threads where government employees throw bombs at children?
19 month old in Georgia? Crickets.
2 year old in California? Crickets.
Why am I a loon? Because you can’t stand the truth? Made my point.
Aggressive dogs? I wouldn’t complain if that was the case. Oh no, these are vicious Chihuahuas or Retrievers wagging their tails and coming toward him.
Oh the scariness of that!!!!
