Yes, the 2016 race for the White House has already gotten started -- and it looks like Dr. Ben Carson is first in the ring.
Carson, a famous pediatric neurosurgeon and conservative political star, will air a nearly 40 minute-long ad introducing himself to the American people this weekend, an aide to Carson confirms to ABC News.

My dream team:
Ted Cruz - President
-> best at the bully pulpit of the bunch
Sarah Palin - Vice President
-> imagine her acting as a Republican Whip and thorn in the Democrat’s side
Dr. Ben Carson - Secretary of Health and Human Services
-> who better to dismantle Obamacare? Remember the power HHS has in the law. He could essentially repel it by directive from there.
Many tried to get him to run for the senate seat in Michigan. I think he would have creamed Peters.
On a side note: Carson is NOT the first to put his hat in the ring. Dennis Michael Lynch, popular filmmaker and massive anti-amnesty activist who has appeared on Fox a dozen times this year, has already declared he is running because nobody is securing the border.
From here, the field will begin to thicken. Campaigns for president are going to be starting earlier than we are used to.
I liked Herman Cain, and I like Carson even more, but I think it’s going to be tough for him to go from being a surgeon to being on the campaign trail. Also, with no track record, it’s going to be hard for people to get a sense of his views. He has not always been consistent, as most people who are just living their lives and not focusing on politics can be. He could use some seasoning. VP would not be a bad call, if he performs well in his campaign.
How long until the media finds some supposed scandal and he has to bow out?
Being black does not automatically qualify a person for President. How about someone with experience, like a governor maybe.
I think Carson will run to add to the debate, and endear himself to the eventual winner, expecting to get the HHS slot.
I absolutely support the suggestion made by some that the Republican candidate should name their entire team going in. Say who you will be bringing in as AG, DHS secretary, etc. This way you have powerful surrogates who can field the specific policy questions in general. Run as a team!
wow, thanks for that. Your so brilliant!
Actually, I think he should run on the idea of being America’s first black president with the stated purpose of alleviating the black communities across America with the deplorable legacy of B. H. Obama. “This full black can beat that sorry half-black and do brain surgery with one hand tied behind my back.” Take that Hussein you pretender!
He should be running as a blue dog dem. Nine out of ten on the bill of rights is not conservative
For President, I prefer to have someone who has experience in office - preferably a Governor. That way they have a record, so you can see what they do instead of what they say.
I don’t know everything about the man, but I have been impressed with Scott Walker these last couple of years.
I hear he wrote a book..
Sounds much better :)
Allen West, on the other hand, is a leader I could support, black or not. That's what I want in a president; a fearless conservative leader. Wouldn't hurt to help erase the stain that Obama will have left on the Office, either. But his whole military career is what I'd give him credit for, not something he said once.
He was a doctor, he wrote a book, what’s left but Leader of the Free World and President of the United States.
Oh yeah, and he just joined the Republican party, it seems he left it when they impeached Clinton -’after getting a sour taste watching Republicans who had their own personal foibles impeach President Clinton over an extramarital affair.’
I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and Im afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it, Carson elaborated.
And I have to add that I love Ted Cruz, I just think his skill set is better suited for Senate Majority Leader.

to the apparent shortcomings of some of Carson’s views. Including me. Particularly about his article at the source there.
I hope to hear a LOT more from him. What I’ve heard/read thus far leaves me ‘wanting’...
They will destroy him. This isn’t brain surgery.
Awesome. Statist heads exploding soon.
