A CNN "journalist" named John D. Sutter wants to scream "racism" and the station is eager to help. Apparently, as MSNBC has shown, that's how failing networks think they'll turn their fortunes around
Ah, CNN. At one time, Ted Turners news network was the only one of its kind. These days, its near the bottom of a rather large pack, and has become the most banal example of an entire genre. When your claim to fame is doing slightly better than MSNBC you know things are bad. Perhaps, like their closest rival, CNNs years of painfully obvious bias have something to do with the decline.
On the other hand, maybe they just stink at their jobs. After all, they just ran an opinion piece claiming America isnt doing enough to fight Ebola in Africa because, well, Americans are a bunch of white racists.

The most recent article I could find on who is giving what to fight Ebola had America giving 750 million in comparison to China’s 38.6 million, India’s 500,000 dollars, the UK 40 million, France 1.2 million, Russia a research lab and personnel, Brazil 450,000 dollars.
I guess that proves just how racist we are!!
One has to wonder why those people can never handle their own challenges.
+1 Totally agree with you.
CNN’s MH370 coverage was delightful.
They gave Comedy Central a run for their money.
.
Most my black friends don’t want to vacation in Liberia right now so I guess their racists too.
Racism is the laziest argument there is.
Racist - Someone winning an argument with a liberal.
Yep, the charge of racism is the intellectual equivalent of calling a lion a coward while standing behind bullet proof plexiglass at the zoo.
No CNN...
Most Americans don’t care about Ebola in Africa because:
a) Africa is 3000+ miles away; and
b) Africa is Africa’s problem; and
c) Most Americans are completely ignorant of the threat posed by a BL-4 outbreak; and
d) Most Americans are too busy trying to earn a living and raise their children in a crappy economy and a stagnant job market brought to us by the same people trying to kill us all for their own political power to give a damn about anything beyond their own daily concerns; and lastly
e) Most Americans know that no matter what they think/want, the dickheads that run our goobermint don’t give a damn.
OK... there MAY be a few racists too. Satisfied?
Sounds like this fool is working the WH talking points the way he was told to.
and the world is racist b/c it doesn’t give a sh1t about anything facing america.
Fox had me fooled for a long time, too, but now I know that they are just RINO-boosting, social progressives, who occasionally have on an actual conservative just for show.
Journalism is supposed to be politics. Period. For a journalist to claim to be objective - not trying to be, but actually to be - objective is to admit that he isnt even trying to be objective. You cant make a serious attempt at objectivity if you start from the assumption that you are objective. Because nobody is inherently objective, and to believe otherwise about yourself is extreme bias.
I remember the six million circulation Daily Mirror in England in the 1950's. It was found that the way to be read is to be so provocative- it angered the readers. Boring them with platitudes was said to be a sure loser. It was also found that the journalist of that era hardly believed a damn thing they wrote, in some cases. Laughed themselves silly- which was not hard.
Is caring about the Enterovirus (EV-68?) that is in 30+ states, killed at least four kids and caused polio-like paralysis in a cluster of patients in Colorado racist?
The Enterovirus is native to Central America (hat tip Dr. Michael Savage), and it shows up in American children in late August and early September, just after tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors arrive in the country and then get admitted to schools across the nation - without disease screening.
So ebola isn’t the first disease killing people due to lax borders and lack of disease screening of immigrants this year - it is the SECOND.
