MSNBC is blaming the National Rifle Association (NRA) for Ebola's arrival in the U.S., as well as for the fear of a greater outbreak that has followed.
According to MSNBC, the NRA made "the Ebola crisis worse" by opposing Dr. Vivek Murthy's nomination to the position of Surgeon General in 2013.
Had things been different--had Murthy been confirmed to the position of surgeon general--he could speak to the American people and relieve the "heightened public health anxiety." But the NRA ruined that when they opposed his plans to label gun crime a "public health crisis" and then use that avenue for backdoor gun control.
Now we have no Surgeon General and no comfort.
Missing from MSNBC's claims is that the fact that Murthy had far more opponents than the NRA, and many of those opponents were fellow doctors.

As usual, MSNBC is 100% incorrect. Everyone knows the Ebola crisis has been caused by global warming, NOT the NRA. Let me repeat that, GLOBAL WARMING causes Ebola, NOT the NRA.

So, the smartest people in the room appointed a Surgeon General who was not up to the job and the NRA torpedoed filling the position with one who was?
If those are the new rules, then we can blame Democrats for torpedoing the nomination of Robert Bork for the Supreme Court now can’t we?
If you dig deep into what these liberals are saying, it’s that there currently isn’t anyone in government with enough common sense to deal with an Ebola crisis. Heh - bet they didn’t realize they were actually spot on for a change.

Wow. I was just in a gun store yesterday. I saw a gun I thought I might like to buy. I almost asked the clerk if I could pick up the gun and inspect it. I decided not to look it over at that time. If I had handled it, I might have gotten Ebola? I know guns are dangerous and they might jump out of the safe and shoot you if they are angry and having a bad day, but I never knew they spread ebola, too. Wow, close call! /sarcasm
