Thirteen years after nearly 3,000 people were killed in Islamic terrorist attacks on US soil, a Palestinian monument has finally been set up to commemorate the event and to honor those who died piloting the aircraft involved.
A forty-foot statue of a Boeing 767-200ER crashing into a skyscraper was unveiled this morning in the square amid fanfare and speeches by political and cultural figures calling for continued resistance to Western colonialism. A military band played nationalist songs in praise of martyrdom while sweets were distributed to children, and attendees held aloft banners in tribute to the 19 men, mostly Saudi nationals, who hijacked four airplanes and crashed three of them into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. A fourth attempt was thwarted by passengers and that plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The base of the statue features a plaque with the names of the nineteen hijackers, after whom numerous children have been named in the Muslim world. When news of the attacks and resulting destruction reached the Palestinian territories in 2001, residents reacted jubilantly, as they saw the attacks as punishment for American policies in the Middle East. But in the intervening years Palestinian frustration has grown, as even such a fearsome blow to prominent symbols of American economic and military might produced no reduction in American support for Israel and no progress toward the defeat and destruction of Israel.

“Jew gotta be kidding.”
They are protected by the hero of Benghazi. If anything he will increase their funding to rebuild.
Imagine the amusement if somebody erected a memorial on private land in the US, to those Israelis killed by Paleos in the current unpleasantness. Including IDF soldiers.
The article is satire.
Really gotta tell people this is satire. It's too believable to know otherwise.
No image on the net of this. I am going to call it bull-Crap. I am a supporter of Israel so don’t think that I have gone soft on cutting them a break.
I have lived my entire life near the WV border with Ohio. Over the years, Robert Byrd managed to get almost every public building, bridge and road in West Virginia named after him.
One of the most disgusting examples of this is the airport in Charleston. It still carries Chuck Yeager's name, but the terminal is called the Robert C. Byrd terminal (the whole thing should obviously be a tribute to Chuck Yeager).
I've always thought the most fitting tribute to Byrd would be to name all public toilets (especially outhouses) after him.
I'd like to see the phrase, "I gotta go to the Byrd" enter the American lexicon.
I think Jeff Goldblum said it best in the movie “Independence Day” ... “Ooops!”
No. The people here who consistently get FOOLED by them, probably do find them annoying. I was also fooled by this one. However, I value the satire posts because they illustrate just how gullible many on OUR side can be, because we're blinded by hate (disdain, contempt, etc) of the left, morons, and enemies. Hopefully, these satire posts can be instructive and keep our critical thinking AND sourcing skills sharp. .
Not funny.
It’s a crazy world and stories come on the net every minute. Easy to overlook satire.
Agree! I was totally fooled by this post!
