After being told by 3 or 4 associates whom I respect that I must watch it - and after putting it off for months - I finally dug in and power watched both seasons in past couple weeks.
I was astounded, on so many fronts. This is must see TV for political junkies. I mean, anyone might like it, but the politically involved will find it fascinting, and teachable, illustrative ..
Anyone else
There is sin in it, but it is not sin induced waste product. There is a difference between gratuitous use of sin, and reality. I’d say this is about 20% over done, or 20% gratuitous.
just so you can be cool like me : ) it’s called binging or binge watching.
I watched a few episodes and it was good, although a bit lurid.
You should also really check out “Veep” on HBO, it stars the gal who played Elaine on Seinfeld as the VP of the US. It’s sort of like the comedy version of “House of Cards”, and I know that is hard to imagine.
But I think it is an amazingly good show, you’d think they’d just bash republicans all day, but they really don’t. Of course they make all and sundry out to be fools, but it’s amazingly even-handed.
I think they walk a very thin line quite well and it is really funny.
I’m a big fan of Endeavor.
I also like Inspector Morris, Foyle’s War, and Sherlock. Generally everything on Masterpiece Mystery except Peroit.
I think they’re doing another season of Foyle’s.
That’s the exact point at which I stopped watching. It was very good until the train scene—and then the gay stuff finished it for me. I had no interest whatsoever after that.
I enjoy to Peroit. It is an acquired taste and the character is a fop. I like the actor.
A new group of Periot starts this next Sunday.
It does, but unfortunately there is a segment that looks as that as being “a strong woman”.
I’m starting with the original British version on Netflix. So I’m still catching up. I know, I know, behind the times ... :)
They’re different you can simul-watch :)
I may just have to do that :)
Redbox had Season 1 on 2 dvds so I expect they’ll have Season 2 as well.
yeah, I coulda done without THAT.
“Thank you Meacham” ahem .
<>Lillihammer was a Hoot!
Agree for Season 1. second was a major disappointment.
___________
It changed second season but very watchable and great scenery to boot.
We need to start an ongoing viewing show thread.
Love the series...I speed watched the series for a week or so- was addicted. I imagine it is just what goes on in Washington and Congress. I love Spacey, perfect for the part. The greed, the power, the deals and threat...I still have more to watch...been watching Tyrant and Leftovers.
Its on Comcast as well... 1.50 an episode.
It’s on Comcast...cost 1.50 an episode.
Be extra careful in the subway.
There is nothing worthwhile on television, so I gave mine away.
