Wouldn't it be safe to say:

From 1787-2009: If you did NOT want to provide abortifacients in your health care plan, you did not have to.

Then in 2009, 0-care stuck its nose into private affairs and then, for the FIRST TIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY, the government could FORCE employers and hospitals to do things that went against their religion.

Am I correct, Or am I missing something?

As one of the writers at NRO noted, the notion that not providing a subsidy for the purchase of a product is equivalent to banning the product is one of the more curious tenets of contemporary liberalism.

I have hay fever that bothers me nine months of the year. Several years ago, my insurance company stopped providing me with Loratadine under their prescription formulary because the drug was now available over the counter.

By the author's logic, I am now denied access to health care, for reasons even flimsier than religious objections [profiteering.]

The restoration of freedom of religion act, which is responsible for this decision, was put on the floor of the Senate by the far, far, far, left loon Chuck Schummer of New York,it passed in the House unanimously,in the senate only 3 votes against it,and it was signed into law by Bill Clinton.

Gotta be kidding. All insurance policies of any type...some stuff is covered and some stuff is not covered. If it’s not covered that doesn’t mean it’s off limits, just purchase it.

Abortion and contraception should be compulsory, along with sexual promiscuity. Got that.

the court, at least the five justices who voted in favor of Hobby Lobby, has little concern for, and probably little understanding of, women's health care. By ruling that corporations, on the grounds of the alleged religious views of their owners, can deny women access to some forms of contraception, the court set a horrible precedent that if followed will endanger the health and lives of many American women.

The writer starts his piece with the clearest practicable demonstration of his own intellectual confusion. How is any corporation "denying women" access to anything--except, perhaps, during their working hours? Is the chap under the delusion that a corporation can effectively deny an employee's right to buy any product, otherwise available, during off duty hours? Is he so mesmerized by the idea of claimed entitlements to having someone else pay for one's wants, that he cannot see the absurdity of his own hyperbole?

Every day there are literally scores of demonstrations, published by alert Conservatives at this venue, of the inability of the American Leftist to put subject matter into a rational perspective. We too often rail at their compulsive & intolerant efforts to suppress actual freedom; but what shines through clear as the sun on dewy grass on a fine April morn, is that their most distinguishing trait is the manifest inability to understand logical relationships.
