President Obama has been referred to as Dad-In-Chief on more than one occasion, and this Fathers Day will likely be no exception. Not only because hes a devoted and vocal family man, but also because the presidents demeanor is very dad-like. Remember how, during his very first speech as president-elect, he announced that hed finally given into his daughters pleading and acquired a family dog? And have you seen his choice of jeans? Or the way he pumps iron at the gym? Theres no doubt, Obama has most definitely earned his nickname.
Even President Obamas political style has been inspired by fatherhood. Just see what the Washington Post wrote in 2011, after the president compared Republicans to disobedient children in a press conference:
Obamas decision to embrace the dad role is squarely aimed politically, at least at independent and moderate voters who ultimately want to feel like the federal government is keeping its eye on the big picture.
So, in honor of this upcoming Fathers Day, lets take a look back at all of the times over the past six years that Obama truly embraced the Dad-In-Chief moniker regardless of whether or not he was doing it on purpose....

Nothing like my dad either. He spent 3 1/2 years fighting the enemy in the Pacific during WW-II.
“I didnt agree with everything Dubya did, but I respected the fact that he was a Fighter Pilot, and earned a level of respect that this assclown will NEVER get.”
Nor did I, by a long chalk.
But I’ll tell you something. The USAF may be different but we got three informal grades over here. You are a pilot. A fighter pilot. Or a flier. GWB is the latter. The guy loves to grab air. So he were in the ANG, not the USAF or Marines. Big deal - take a peek at his flight hours sometime. They are public record. He’s got 6, maybe 7 times the regular hours for someone not in an active combat zone.
Met him back in ‘03. We talked for about half an hour, maybe a bit more, after the Thanksgiving thing. He had zero reason to do so - a heavily armed bunch of foreigners who were just stationing through and sitting off to the side, not the very admirable men and women in the service of the United States. No votes involved, no cameras, no soundbites, just a guy sitting down to shoot the shit with a bunch of grunts who were enjoying edible food maybe a little too much! And he talked WITH us, not AT us. He wanted to take my baby for a spin - that got a VERY rapid no from his security detail! Then he got up, shook our hands, went to another table and started talking with them like an old friend. We were there for a few hours - couldn’t take off while the President was on the ground, and he was riveting to watch.
As President, yeah, he made mistakes. Some small, some bad. I’d still have him in my squad any time, or follow him if he were team leader without question. Might not let him take primary stick, but that is my job. More to the point, my team liked him, and they are a suspicious bunch at the best of times.
It’s just one anecdote, make of it what you will. Could it have been getting all “star struck?” Guess it could be. Or he could be a good, down to Earth man. I’ll go for the second, thanks. :)
Wipe your chin Mr. Millstein.
The son of a bitch has never acted like my dad. As long as he lived, my father was an honorable man. And he conducted himself accordingly.
My father ran a factory for thirty years. Obama can’t run anything but his mouth.
Drop that mthrfkr in a wood chipper...
By who?
He looks quite ridiculous, and beyond that, the pictures are all for show. They don't give us and we really don't have an impression of whatever the guy is really like.
The idea of Barack Obama as the mature dad who lectures a childish Congress really doesn't stand up very well. He's more like the awkward beginning teacher who postures and hectors his students because he doesn't have the experience or the brains to try a more persuasive approach.
PS, if somebody says, "My dad was" so and so, "not a Marxist fag," the expected response would be, "Well, not that you know of. He had that whole other life, dude."
When you finish this one, you can read Seth’s article about how much Grumpy Cat makes in a year. That will certainly be more meaningful than this screed.
Like My dad....WW2 vet...worked three jobs. Didn’t graduate High School.
Obama is a prancing prick.
They truly were the best... our Country is at a loss every day as they pass away.
And I think the miserable psychotics on the Left WAITED purposely for that to start happening before they really started pushing us.
“...No votes involved, no cameras, no soundbites, just a guy sitting down to shoot the shit with a bunch of grunts who were enjoying edible food maybe a little too much! And he talked WITH us, not AT us. ...”
Best description of George the Man I’ve ever read. I have nothing BUT respect for him.
“...As President, yeah, he made mistakes. Some small, some bad. Id still have him in my squad any time, or follow him if he were team leader without question....”
As George the President, I think he really did what he thought best for his country. Yeah.. he made mistakes. But they weren’t Intentional like this clown.
I think he’s a decent human being, a fine American, and political differences aside, I think history will show him as such.
We’re on the same page, brother...
Our fathers did everything they could to make the world a better place. As a generation, they defined “American”.
I miss my old man dearly.
*My* Dad grew up in the slums of Boston during the Depression. He attended Boston public schools and never attended college because his tuberculosis ridden father couldn’t afford to pay for it.He designed and built missiles for the Navy during WWII.I could go on but I’ll just say that my Dad was a good, decent, hard working, honorable man.Osama Obama never has been, and never will be,any of those five things.
My Dad's one up on yours. He would *defecate* on this worthless punk if he were alive today.
After years of selfless work he earned the Nobel Peace Prize. And the endorsement of the senior Senator from Chappaquiddick.
Oh YEAH?? Well, MY Dad... Hahaha!!! You know where that old game goes!!!
I think it’s safe to say our fathers’ generation would have been suited and booted and marching on DC already...
I hope you know that I wasn't putting either your Dad or you down.Yes,our fathers' generation would have collectively made this little fairy wish that he had died as a child.
