The investigations into the IRS and the VA are about to collide, head on, and it's not going to be pretty for Lois Lerner, congressional Democrats, and Obama. Lerner's been held in contempt of Congress, and Holder won't do anything. That's about to change.
It's unique in politics that people need so much time to prepare to tell the truth.
Now that a < a href= https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzlAXetH2L8> ONE MILLION DOLLAR REWARD has been offered for a whistle blower to bring forth incriminating evidence things could get interesting fast.
You holding your breath or something?
The only consequence to these vermin is an afternoon of public humiliation. And a fat pension if they get fired.
with respect to your expected coming collision, you must have overlooked the constant capitulation of the current republican leadership that continues to protect and suck up to this WH.
And on those who vote RepubiCrat.
All—please call your Senators and Congresscritters today:
www.senate.gov
www.house.gov
Let them know that YOU are outraged about the VA scandal.
GOP and Dems need to hear from all of us.
The vet you save may be from your own family or town.
Now is the time to make your voice heard.
Plus the Clintons had to rely on an organized crime network to have people killed. Now Obama has predator drones!
Agree that this strategy will be invoked.
The truth is that the number of veterans (and veterans requiring treatment) is significantly smaller than it was even 10 years ago. The costs to treat these fewer vets have risen about 30%, though. Some part of that is undoubtedly due to more expensive med costs. Some part of it is probably admin costs.
Don’t they say that 10,000 baby boomers retire every day?
In WW2, roughly 11% of adult men were in the military.
Doesn’t that mean that 1,000 WW2/Korean vets die every day? Not to be snarky or crass, but isn’t that just about the same piece of math?
They should start with a bang. Bring the first one up, and when they cite the 5th Amendment, immediately have a vote for contempt of congress. It will pass the committee, then it should immediately go to the floor, where the house should vote on putting them in jail. Assuming they do so, then call the next one to testify before the committee.
The problem with the military is too many Quislings with stars on their shoulders.
“People...especially independents are going to realize that we have a government that is out of control, staffed by people who believe they are better than we are, and there is going to be hell-to-pay.”
What percentage of the electorate do you think even knows there’s an ongoing VA scandal and of those who know, what percentage even care?
But Dude, that was like so long ago!
Woe! Woe is me! The Republicans will never even look at Benghazi. What? They are? Well, they’ll never have a committee to look into it. What? They are? They’ll never appoint Gowdy as the head. What? They did? Woe! Woe is me!
The Dems have announced the house members who will sit on the committee.
What VA scandal?
But did you know that Caleb won American Idol?
Lois Lerner has nothing to worry about.
And excuse my lack of enthusiasm, but “getting hauled before a House committee” these days is only slightly less serious than a seatbelt violation.
Nobody gives a crap because it’s all theater. No one is punished, but golly, it looks good to donors in an election year.
Viva Pinochet!!
As I recall, that was Romney’s number and he was inclding social security—and of course all the people who are legitimately and justifiably on assistance. So it’s not realy 47%.
It would be so wonderful if you were right, but I have no hope or expectation that this will play out the way you envision. Too many voters just do not care.
In my personal estimation, the vast majority of liberal and/or LIV types do not have any particular affinity for veterans, so they won’t have special sympathy about the VA problems.
