Some requests for vanity license plates are deemed questionable. Others do get issues, then, when complaints are received, are subject to review and often recalled. Here's the "TOP 100" license plates that didn't make it.. (link below)..hopefully, they'll make you smile..

Somebody needs to click all the way through and list the plates. Not me.

For those states that require a plate on the front of the car, I always liked
3M TA3
That way, the car in front could read it in the rear view

I recall some that only made sense when you saw them in your rearview mirror.

Don’t we all?
Do you send text messages that take an hour to figure out?

I see that on novelty (non-state) front plates sometimes.

I don't send text messages. I'm still, for the most part, in the 20th century. Heading briskly toward the 13th.

The state government bureaucracy in Tallahassee has developed distinct subcultures in most of its departments, divisions, and agencies. License plates are under the state Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Not only is the Florida Highway Patrol a key part of the DHSMV, but the entire Department has a law enforcement aura about it, which amplified by Tallahassee’s small town Protestant Christian conservatism. The DHSMV thus takes a strict view of what is permissible on a license plate.
