Just 185 babies were given the name Remington in 2002, but by 2012 the number had jumped to 666.” Uh-oh. “Perhaps the most surprising of all, however, is a jump in the name Ruger’s (America’s leading firearm manufacturer) from just 23 in 2002 to 118 in 2012 . . . In 1999, Gunner ranked 739th on the list of the Official Social Security site’s 1000 most popular names for boys—by 2012 it jumped to 293rd. Remington, for both girls and boys, spiked in the last few years as well, starting at 731st place in 1999 and jumping to 421nd a decade later.

I have a nephew named Colt and another named Remington. They also call him “Remmy”.
My cousins husband is a competitive shooter and gunsmith. He owns a Barrett .50 cal. They named their son Barrett. No lie.
Who could forget the forerunner to the Winchester repeating Rifle. If he had only remembered to put a forestock on it.

Gun Issues The Elephant In The Room For Gov Christie’s National Aspirations

Manasquan, NJ —(Ammoland.com)- The question over more restrictive gun control laws such as a the renewal or expansion of the ineffective “Assault Weapons Ban”, Magazine Capacity Restrictions and Concealed Carry for Self Defense is the massive Elephant in the room for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his pursuit of the Republican Nomination for the 2016 Presidential Election.
Both Christie and the National GOP ignore supporting gun owner rights at their tremendous peril.
While “Bridgegate” and questions over the dispersal of Super Storm Sandy Relief Funds have fueled the intense spotlight cast on Christie as of late, absent some sort of “bombshell” revelation pertaining to either it is highly probable that he will weather the storm from those two issues relatively intact.
When it comes to the question of Gun Control however, its an issue that is simply not going to go away as easily.
