RUSH: The Republican Party establishment... Let me set this up by going back to the 2012 presidential campaign. Remember when you learned that the Romney campaign, along with Republican establishment types, had put the word out that there was to be no criticism of Obama? In fact, I remember... I think I told you all this. A prospective Republican presidential candidate in 2010 or 2011 visited me.
There was some confab here in Palm Beach, and this man called and wanted to come by and tell me what his plans were. So I said, "Sure, come on by Sunday morning." The guy said, "Rush, now, I just want to tell you: We can't go after Obama. That's instant death. We can go after his policies, but we can't go after Obama." I said, "Really? How do you separate 'em? How do you not go after Obama if you're going after his policies? How could you go after his policies while not going after Obama?"
"We can't make it personal, Rush. We just can't do it." And that bled over to the Romney campaign, so much so that in the debates they wouldn't even bring up Benghazi. So now, the Republican establishment has let everybody in the party know that they will not tolerate, they will not advocate, and they won't put up with anybody attacking the Clintons' past. If Hillary runs for president, there will be no discussion of Lewinsky and the blue dress.
There will be no discussion of the Rose Law Firm, the billing records. There will be none of that stuff from the past. "We're not gonna dredge it up," the Republican establishment says. "It ain't gonna happen. We can't win by going back and being critical of the Clintons. We can't bring all that stuff up from the past. We're not gonna do it. We're gonna stay away from it."
Sure, they can attack Palin. They can attack Palin's whole family. They can make movies and talk about how the Republicans were so scared of her lack of intelligence, they wouldn't even vote for her. They can do all that, but we can't attack the Clintons. We couldn't attack Obama, and can't now attack the Clintons. Pat Caddell was on Fox saying the GOP establishment wants the IRS to go after the Tea Party.
Pat Caddell said yesterday on Fox News that the reason Republican leadership has not pushed for a higher-level investigation of the IRS for targeting the Tea Party is because they want the IRS to go after the Tea Party. When you have 71% who want an investigation, 64% who believe it is a sign of corruption, including nearly a majority of Democrats, the reason is the establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Party.
Got it?
They want them to go after the Tea Party because the Tea Parties are an outside threat to their power hold. I'm telling you, the lobbying-consultant class of the Republican Party and Republican leadership, who have been attacking the Tea Party and alienating them, they want the IRS to do this. That's why there hasn't been any establishment Republican pushback on the IRS. It's almost safe to say the Republican establishment might be willing to lose a couple of elections if it meant getting rid of the Tea Party; because it's clear, folks, they don't want to win any elections the Tea Party can claim any credit for.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: You gotta hear Pat Caddell. I mentioned this, but I want you to hear Pat Caddell say it. It was last night on the Fox report on the Fox News Channel, talking about the IRS targeting Tea Party groups.
CADDELL: The reason is, the establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Parties. Got it? They want to go after the Tea Parties because the Tea Parties are an outside threat to their power hold, and I'm telling you, the lobbying, consulting class of the Republican Party and Republican leadership who have been attacking the Tea Parties and alienating them, they want the IRS to do this.
RUSH: That is a serious charge. That is a very, very serious charge, that the Republican establishment is aligned with Obama and is okay with Obama using the IRS to investigate the Tea Party. But it's believable, because we know the Republican establishment, the political class in Washington, is spreading the word that they are not gonna criticize Hillary, it isn't gonna happen, and we shouldn't, either. It shouldn't happen. It won't help anybody to criticize the Clintons, at least not from the nineties. Maybe go after her on Benghazi, but if anybody does that they'll say, "No, no, no, leave Benghazi alone." And pretty soon they're gonna say no criticism of the Clintons. That's not gonna help us. You watch.
The thing that amazes me is, if you look at the sign-up date of some of them, it's the late 90s! Which means they've been here on FR a long, long time. Were they always statists, or have they been bought?
You’re right!
Thanks for the ping, workerbee.
Caddell, as usual, is spot on.
Skeptics, of course, will ask, “Well, why would the GOP-e even have the IRS scandal hearings in the first place if they wanted the IRS to go after the Tea Party?” The answer is simple: there was a lot of speculation at the time that the only reason the GOP-e was rolling out all of the scandal hearings (IRS, Benghazi, etc.)... was to distract Conservatives from the big amnesty push going on at the same time in the Senate. Pure speculation, of course, but it rings true in light of the circumstances (and knowing how the Establishment operates).
The GOP-e got what they wanted- the amnesty vote in the Senate, and that was it. Benghazi has languished since then, and now that the Establishment realizes that it’s in its best interest for the IRS to go after the Tea Party, nothing will happen.
It’s truly disgusting- as many have pointed out, the leaking of information by IRS officials about private groups is a CRIMINAL offense, and yet the GOP-e could care less.
We are strong, and getting stronger.
Today is the start of our Primary Election in TEXAS.
Please encourage to vote all yalls, (FYI: that is the Official Plural of yall), TEXAS FRiends with this:
________________
IMHO, the recent following two quotes by Conservative Commentator Eric Erickson highlight why Conservative TEXANS should make their votes count in this Primary Election:
1.) - - - As all of us know, we may not live in Texas, but Texas affects us and we all probably secretly or not so secretly want to live there. - - -
2. ) - - - - Its imperative that Texas have strong conservative leadership because as Texas goes, so goes America. - - -

BTW, copy and substitute yalls States names for use in yalls Primary Elections!
The (D)'s who read what you post just high-5 each other and congratulate themselves on another "Mission Accomplished."
As far as you and those like you are concerned they have watch you effectively neutralize what little opposition you represented to them to begin with. They didn't have to lift a finger or spend a dime to get you to fold. You have been Alinsky'd and you're so blinded with rage at your own lackluster team that you can't see how you are being played.
I note that you conveniently avoided any comment about Palin's local, gubernatorial, and national successes in spite of opposition she has sustained in the face of the GOPe.
The whole reason we celebrate Cruz's, Lee's and Paul's presence and effectiveness is because of her political prominence since 2008, her political savvy, and national name recognition which has been able to martial tea partiers as well as squishy GOPers to elect credible opposition not only to the (D)'s, but also to outflank GOPe operatives in our ranks.
The (D)'s have you singing their tune and they are just laughing you at you as they move on to their next self-immolating rube enraptured of their own sense of moral superiority.
By your same logic, you'd vote for Satan because the Baptists you go to church with who claim to be Christians entertain way too much sin in their own lives for your liking.
By contrast Sarah Palin lives her life as an example of how one should live, and by doing so persuades others -- the tea partiers and the squishes alike -- by her example to vote as she does.
Unlike you, she never gives aid and comfort to the Satanic (D)'s just because Karl Rove is an asshole.
Caddell is one of the very few traditional, stand-up, democrats left. (Not a socialist/ anything to advance the socialist cause - guy)
I believe him.
Sarah is irrelevant to this discussion. If you read through my posting history you will see that I am a big supporter of Sarah Palin. I have met Sarah Palin donated to SarahPAC and to her Legal Defense Fund.
Unlike you, she never gives aid and comfort to the Satanic (D)'s just because Karl Rove is an asshole.,
Sarah is a national figure and as such she can't express herself as fully as we can on this forum. There are "poltical" considerations.
All things considered if she woke up Wednesday morning in early Nov and discovered that Boehner lost to a RAT, I would think she would not be disappointed!
Sarah Palin is irrelevant in your view because she doesn't behave as you are inclined to do, and she enjoys success at what she does in ways that you won't and never will as you choose to give aid and comfort to (D)'s
Sarah is a national figure and as such she can't express herself as fully as we can on this forum. There are "poltical" considerations.
She has political instincts that you clearly lack. She knows how the game is played and she's making steady progress against the (D)s and GOPe without having to resort to telling people to vote for (D)'s, under the mistaken belief that they are somehow getting back at Karl Rove and his ilk by doing so.
All things considered if she woke up Wednesday morning in early Nov and discovered that Boehner lost to a RAT, I would think she would not be disappointed!
You may have claimed to have met her but does she know who you are? I doubt it. It is clear from your repeated advice to vote for (D)s that you still don't know who the enemy is and clearly don't know her or have any familiarity with her successful strategy at all.
FReegards!
You must not read what I have written. I gave the example of voting for the RAT over Boehner.
By getting rid of Boehner and allowing his set to go RAT would not be giving Aid to the D's; far from it. We would rid ourselves of a true enemy in our camp.
She is a national treasure -- she is a true genius at politics. I knew of Sarah well before McCain introduced her.
She is a leader, I am in the trenches. Her actions would always be strategic and different from those fighting in the trenches. We can say things she would never state.
The RINO class is doing very little to fight the statists. To defeat them politically by any means is, in my opinion, a good thing.
You appear to be a d^&k....

To A:
NO REAL conservative, certainly not Sarah Palin or any conservative anywhere, would prefer a Dem defeating a Republican. IMO there are agent provocateurs on conservative posting boards trying to persuade the conservatives to hate the GOP, and cut off their noses to spite their faces, helping the Dems win. There is no other logical explanation.
LOL. Again, a response a GOPe lover would state.
All things considered we most likely will NOT lose the House. Boehner is 1 of 435.
If we lose him to a RAT the damage the RAT can do to Conservative movement is far, far, far less than the REAL damage that the RINO Boehner is doing to Conservatives each and every day.
As time goes on, GOPe boot lickers like you and others will truly see the Statist face of the GOPe. You will truly see the hatred the GOPe has for the grass roots Tea Party movement.
Let's see if ole Boehner boy doesn't find a way to sneak Amnesty through.
It is astounding to me that with all the moves Boehner has made against the Tea Party, the Conservatives in Congress, and his big desire for Amnesty that you would think his loss to a RAT would be so terrible. Simply laughable.
P.S. Tell your pal Karl that Conservatives have had it with the Statists in the GOP.
This is rich -- lol. I really got a good laugh out of this one.... I am an agent provocateur :).
If you look at the news every day you will find that the GOP is doing a bang up job at making the Conservatives hate the GOPe. (notice I always mention GOPe, not GOP).
If you have time listen to Rush or Mark Levin. They always speak about story after story on the GOPe attacking the Tea Party and Conservatives in general.
We will get out party back for the likes of you and the rest of the GOPe.
