Sen. John McCains daughter says her dad is depressed and frustrated with the tea party faction of the Republican Party, which she called the hyper-conservative wing.
A state of mind many in the tea party can relate to in their radical pursuit of a more fiscally responsible, limited federal government.
Were both frustrated with the idea that only the hyper-conservative wing of the party is going to represent the masses, Meghan McCain said during an interview with ABC and Yahoo News.
Ms. McCain, who has her own reality show Raising McCain, said the last time her father was so depressed about the state of politics was after his failed 2008 presidential bid, according to the Washington Times.
He is so depressed. He is so downtrodden, Ms. McCain said. The way hes talking about it, how hes never seen it this bad in his 30-plus years in office.
An indication that McCain grew accustomed to a more apathetic constituency willing to place blind trust in progressive politicians on both sides of the aisle who have steered this country to the precipice of financial ruin.
As for her 77-year-old father running for reelection in 2016, something McCain recently said he is considering, his daughter said she has reservations about it.
My father has more energy than I do, Ms. McCain said. So it is not his age, it is just the idea of having another dirty tea party election.
After all, one can only take so much of accountability.
Dear John:
Retire now and enjoy the rest of your life. You’ve earned it.
Just do it now, don’t wait ‘till 2016.
He is not depressed. He has the Whacko Bird Flu.
Just retire you rotten miserable bastard.
Blame America First, pig.
McCain is CERTIFIABLE.
Just fine with ObamA and the Democrats, but it is the Tea Party that has McCain depressed?
Just fine with ObamA and the Democrats, but it is the Tea Party that has McCain depressed? Not at all othered with the direction of the country, the deficit, or the pursuit of the anti American agenda, but it is those vile Tea Party Patriots that have his dander up.
Sure it does, purge is about to be in his and his friends vocabulary
I have a straight razor I’d be more than glad to loan McLame.
The way hes talking about it, how hes never seen it this bad in his 30-plus years in office.
Neither have we, government IS out of control.
Payback is a bitch, old man. You too, John.
Well good for him - he can retire and live well for the rest of his natural life. I wish him well...
McAmnesty can RESIGN.
lol
I’m not sure about Cruz yet. So far to me he’s seems to have a bit of an ego and I’m not sure (yet) if he’s going to have the ability to get important things done. We will need, IMO, a person who can convince other’s to join the conservative cause. One person, alone, won’t be able to move those jackals in the House and Senate to do the right thing.
Will Cruz be able to convince enough of the Repubs to get with the program? I don’t know.
After 2014 .. I don’t think Cruz will have a problem.

No Meghyn Dad has senile dementia and Mom needs to put him in a home. You can take him out to Golden Corral on Sundays.
Ya know, after being re-elected so many times, I'm not sure that the AZ voters WILL toss him out on his keester. For some reason, they seem to think his "maverick" style represents them.
I don't get it.
Hey Meghan, cry me a bucket full of tears and then ask me if I care! I believe not only Arizona but the entire nation will be much netter off when McCain(iac) exits stage left.
