My wife is very ill and in need of prayer. She was diagnosed with blood clots in her legs several weeks ago and was put on Cumadin and sent home. The Cumadin didn't work, she developed additional clots and several migrated to her lungs. She was sent to the ER and then admitted to the hospital and a CT scan was ordered. The scan showed several clots in her lungs and it also showed a mass on her liver. The oncologist first diagnosed liver cancer and since the mass was relatively small we were hopeful that surgery and a round of chemo would take care of it. Yesterday the oncologist informed my wife that her situation was 'much worse than I originally thought' and told her that the tumor on her liver was a met, not a primary tumor. However, they haven't yet found out what her primary cancer is...they told her she metatastic disease but can't tell her what cancer.
We're both in a fog and feeling lost. I feel like I've been through hell these last three days, I can't imagine what my dear wife must think! She's putting on a brave face and trying to stay positive but this week has been brutal.
Please pray for her. Pray for healing and for her comfort. She is my wife of thirty years, my best friend and soul mate. I will be absolutely lost without her...
May the Lord heal your wife, and give you both His divine strength and comfort. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
God bless you both
Prayers up for both of you. God is by your side and I truly believe in miracles. May he comfort and strengthen both of you during these difficult times.
Your wish is granted by a humble FReeper.
I’ll be praying for you and your wife!
Her name is Janet. Thank you very much! I’m heading back to the hospital but wanted to jump back on and thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. Freepers really are some of the best people out there!
Prayers for healing and comfort. May you both have peace, may she be healed soon, and may He be glorified.
You and Janet are in my prayers. Please keep us posted. Stay strong!
Immediate and heartfelt prayers for your wife and for you.
May the Good Lord be by her side....
My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
Absolutely. Prayers sent.
A few days before last Christmas, we learned my wife of 20 years had cancer. Our terror and uncertainty of that diagnosis was almost unreal - and like you, I can only speak for myself, and cannot begin to imagine her deepest feelings. In her case, surgery and chemo seemed to have given her a new lease on life, and for that I am eternally grateful. But my message to you is that there are others that understand your fear; you are not alone. Right now, your most important task is to support her in any way possible, but you won’t be able to do that if you don’t take care of your self. Use every tool available and every resource at your disposal, not only to see to her needs - physical, emotional, spiritual - but yours as well. Be strong - good luck.
Our prayers.
I had exactly the same condition three years ago, except for the liver tumor, spent twelve days in the hospital coughing up blood from my lungs waiting for the clots to dissolve.
Now I am fine, was told I would be on cumin-um for the rest of my life, it is nasty stuff, I hated it, been off of it now for over a year, and feeling like nothing ever happened.
I say this as encouragement, with prayers.
So sorry. We’ll definitely pray here. What’s your wife’s first name, please?
My prayer went up as I read.
Prayers.
Prayers sent.
Very sorry to learn of this.
Prayers up! ‘Pod.
