I just put Stevia in my Kool-Aid but had to use twice the recommended amount (16 tablespoons). This made it the same volume as if I had used sugar (1 cup). Have you ever noticed how red Kool-Aid (cherry) will stain countertops like crazy?

Yes, I have noticed that. So do red wine and beet juice.

Nothing like listening to Metallica “The thing that should not be”, feel something behind you, turn and see that.

I’m so out of mainstream culture it’s pathetic. On looking up how to get Kool-Aid stains out I see that kids deliberately dye their hair with Kool-Aid. Oh well, it grows out, unlike a tattoo.

Now I’m confused, and I knew that figure since high school. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!

Face is the one who needs the battery. My Interstates lasted an especially long time in the desert, and the extra expenditure was cost-effective in the long run. When I need a new battery, I’ll most certainly follow your suggestion re: rebuilds. (Didn’t even know there was such a thing.)

Good night and sweet dreams!

You can dye your hair with Kool-Aid? Wow! I didn’t know that.

Most or all of the Costco/Kirkland SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries are remanufactured, or were so when I last purchased six deep cycle batteries in 2007.

Oh, yeah, rebuilt batteries are available. I want to say the brand I got was a “Titan” but looking around online, the only hit I get is “GS Batteries,” and they’re only sold in the UK, by the look of their Distributor list.
I was in Eugene, Oregon, at the time, and bought the battery through a local part store; Kragen (now O’Reiley). It may have still been “Shucks” back then.
Actually — if you REALLY have the yen to do it:

Elen and Sally have asked to color their hair with Kool-Aid. “It’s okay - Michelle did it!” Not happening, though ...

NO! I want the hard copies!!! PLEASE!!! That way I can see them whenever I want without dancing with the computer.
Rain, rain, rain...
Another storm last night which dumped almost an inch, and rain is on the docket for the entire day. *sigh*
(And I wonder why it’s so hard for me to get going on the projects...)

The contractors are finally showing up, we might get power by the end of the day or early tomorrow and water is being worked on too.
Thank goodness.

A little baking soda paste will take the red stains out of the counter tops. Club soda will take red wine out of carpets and almost anything else.

I just got word that a SiL is in a hospital in Turkey. It seems they were on a cruise in the Mediterranean and she had a problem with her heart. Right now, they are saying it's congestive heart failure, but don't know if she can survive another surgery. *sigh*
