Gee ... prayers am not the spreader of Unnngh!
Thank you, my friend. Prayers are always greatly appreciated.
If I don’t get a phone call today, his thyroid is normal as well.
If it were very hyperactive, the vet said, he would not have gained any weight, but he has gained a quarter pound.
He’s an old man, 84 in cat years, so he’s entitled to be a little creaky at his age (15).
Gee ... 84 years in cat years. If I live to be 84 am gonna be the crankiest cat around. I promise!
Oh, no ... you are a net contributor of LoL.
The poor old fellow.
Thank You T-c. I’ve been slipping lately though. The fall(s) are hear in the northern hemisphere. It’s Spring below the Equator. Only makes sense when upside down.
Ya can’t have too many kittehs! Thank you!

Absolutely correct! Good morning!
Afternoon! Some days need extra kitten.
That's the spirit! We refuse to be bound by time, geography, or whatever in our pursuit of having a jolly good time!!!
I got worried and called the vet.
Lucas Prince of Darkness has normal thyroid.
Also, I learned something new. Never heard of it before. They no longer shave one of the cat’s
forelegs to take blood. They actually draw it from the jugular vein in the cat’s neck.
His neck was not shaved, either. I suspect that they didn’t draw blood at all.
And it turns out that Luke is supposedly anemic. If true, it is from his having a bad reaction to
Newman’s Own canned cat food. He didn’t stop vomiting and having diarrhea until I got rid of
that and went back to 100% Fancy Feast Classics.
He should improve significantly. This vet wants to see him again in two weeks for more blood
tests, but this is not Dr. Van Buren, our regular vet, but a woman who is covering for him while
he is away. The CBC is $109. Not getting blood work every two weeks. No way.
And I know churning when I hear it. They will see him in three months, and only if Dr. Van Buren
treats him, and not before, unless there is an emergency.
Dr. Van Buren is a very nice and competent veterinarian, and he gives us discounts and cut rates.
He has never churned us.
May it be, TOL, for can tell you love your kittah. May it be okay.
GAH!!!
Oh, how I loathe incompetency! With cat’s fur as thick as it is per inch, how could they find the jugular without shaving the neck?
It’s sad that someone you trust has left your “baby” in the hands of someone untrustworthy. I will pray that this is rectified!
May we raise the Jolly Roger and roast a terrorist?!!!!? ARGGG!
That is the situation exactly. Well stated.
I’m not going to nark on her when Dr. Van Buren comes back because I’m sure he’s going to get a lot of feedback from his other regular customers.
Not to mention the fact that your integrity would preclude you do that face to face. As little as I know you, I would think you are a “write a polite letter” type of person who would state the problem without a lot of emotional fru-fru and list times, dates and persons involved.
And even THEN you would respond in person only if asked to do so. Yah. You got CLASS, Lady!
Well... That's what happens when you feed a conservative cat overpriced food from a liberal... ;-)
We have experienced food-based issues with certain brands also. Had one cat that got bloody stools everytime we fed her whatever brand it was (Mrs. NoC knows - I just know there's a brand I'm never supposed to buy again!)
Also hasten to add glad LPOD is OK. And our cats seem to tolerate Fancy Feast better than most other wet foods. It’s just that each cat has a different favorite flavor... ;-
Umm.. 3299 should have been addressed to you... Need to fire my reProof reader ;-)
